If you're looking for a relaxing meal or a place to unwind during a workday, I would advise against visiting La Rosa Negra El Rabal. From the moment you enter the restaurant, it's clear that the staff prioritizes speed over customer satisfaction, rushing you through your meal and creating an uncomfortable dining experience.
Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff chooses your table and then proceeds to time every aspect of your meal, from ordering food and drinks to even cutting your time short before you have a chance to enjoy coffee and desserts.
Although the food itself wasn't terrible, the overall experience was tainted by the unwelcoming atmosphere and the pushy demeanor of the staff. It's a shame that such potential for a satisfying meal was overshadowed by the restaurant's focus on hurrying customers in and out.
In the future, I'll be seeking out establishments that value a leisurely and enjoyable dining experience, rather than one that makes me feel like I'm on a strict time limit. You should more hires in Custemer service like more auténtico mexican people that they know how threat...
Read moreLike La Rosa Negra in Via Laietana, they have great and inexpensive cocktails 🍸 (starting at just €3.50 💶), like their amazingly sweet-acid Tamarindo Daikiri or those fruity caipirinhas and mojitos... 😍
100% recommended trying them!
They don't have the best or most authentic Mexican 🇲🇽 food in the city thought, but it's not bad nor tasteless anyway, quite the contrary, it's worth considering staying for lunch or dinner too, although the cocktails alone are worth a walk! 🚶
Their nachos are good and have more than just guacamole on them, so they come in handy with those cocktails 🍹, thought if it is really good nachos what you are looking for, I would advise you to go to Burrets (near Plaça Espanya). They even have mole!
Going back to La Rosa Del Raval... The interior is colourful and charming, just like the one in La Rosa Negra, although it is not so stunning. Anyway, If you find La Rosa Negra (Via Laietana) too popular/touristic, this is the right place to come. Same stuff but less people and a bit more...
Read moreRosa del Raval is a trendy cool restaurant inspired by the Mexican cuisine. The restaurant is always alive and you will do good to prepare yourself for eventually waiting 30 minutes before you can sit down. But whenever you sit down, you will see on the menu your favourite Mexican dishes, including tacos, fajitas, and burritos. I can especially recommend the latter. The burritos have never disappointed and are quite economically friendly.
In addition, I always enjoyed the freshly-made mojitos a lot. I would advise going at least once to this restaurant to enjoy a nice Mexican meal and afterwards a good drink, but don’t go if you are searching for a traditional and...
