We have been coming to this place for 3 years. But never again. On Sunday, September 17 2023 we arrived just as they opened. We ordered our coffees and placed orders for the yogurt magnifico (should come with magnifying glass it was so small), and the Benedict bun. After waiting for 30 minutes and every other person in the cafe being served their breakfasts, we had to ask twice where our food was. 10 minutes later my husband’s yogurt bowl was served but still no food for me and the cook was pretending to be busy but cooked nothing. I suspect he was missing some ingredients for my egg and bun sandwich but to not tell us or offer another dish after 15 other people had been served and finished eating is just rude. The server did notify the cook twice but told us nothing. I guess since we are old we don’t deserve good manners according to the SI owner and his cook.We paid for our coffee and left and advise others...
Read moreThe place is nice in the pictures but not very much in reality. I waited to be seated alone (was no any clients before me) at the entrance for 5 minutes. But stuff were pretending not see me. When they finally offer me to sit it was a super small table in a far, dark corner just because I was alone. I can’t even sit on it, my knees was touching underneath of the tabletop. Although there were several free tables in the hall for two (!), Not large tables for a company, but for two. Probably their business is doing too well after the long closure during covid. Or maybe they are focused exclusively on regular local customers. But that would be strange in my opinion It's a pity I didn't try the food on the pictures it looks delicious. But with this attitude, any appetite will disappear. 2021...
Read moreIf you like different and innovative coffee places to go in Barcelona, you should go to Sabio Infante. Curious decoration, a mixture of granny´s house and the vintage charm with the bonus of ludic kids toys. The green ceiling, some walls and the A/C add the special charm. The lamps are all unique pieces as well. The food menu has a good variety, which makes it quite easy to make the decision to what to order, and the prices are aligned with the majority of coffee shops here in Barcelona. The quality and quantity are approved 🙂 For coffee, they have only espresso based options. They usually use beans from NOMAD COFFEE ROASTERS in the coffee shop, which is one of the biggest and most know roasters here in BCN (we have the review here too), but every now and then you will see invited roasters over there. Quality of extraction was good! And the Latte Art as well!
