Of course, there are bound to be some reviewers that simply don't give a 5 star rating. I wouldn't say the ones that do are on the wrong, I've read a handful of them and they certainly strike some arguments that make sense.
But you are here to know whether to eat here or nah, right?
Well, from what I see, going here grants you a superb familiar service. Who knows, you may even get something for free! They gave us some lemon shots (which I dislike but my friends drank without a problem).
They said the food was delicious. I found it average, to be fair, I was able to notice the quality ingredients but I don't know, it lacked some clear taste profile for me.
As for the price, I'd say it errs on the pricey side (all while being in the cheap range), from 10€ to 15€ with most pizzas, 13€ for the pasta and to make it handmade pasta adds 2€, most desserts range from 6€ to 7€. The servings are fair, plenty enough for a 1 plate meal.
The place is small, it is not very well lit or decorated. So, for the question you were waiting for: Is it really that amazing as a 4.9 star rating would make it be?
No. I wouldn't repeat. My friends would love to repeat, I am sure of that, but I just don't think they are properly comparing the taste of the food itself, because for me, I could just eat something that taste like that in the comfort of my home for 5€ or so.
Now, would it be fair to give it 3 stars? No, because that is a rating of 5 out of 10 and this is certainly not a mediocre place.
I hope you can now decide a...
Read moreSince we like pizza a lot we wanted to find some good place to eat pizza in Barcelona. We found That's amore on Google.
It is a bit small place but we came here for food although a better ambient all together wouldnt hurt😀. But lets comment on the food. The dough was excelent, light, it doesnt sit in your stomach. The topings also nice, good flavour.
I ate pizza at many places in different countries. This one is very high on my list and would recommend it with no regret.
I have to commend the brunete waitress, didnt ask for her name but I think she is the only one that speaks english very good.
We came in Spain for a week, eating out all week and I have to say english could be quite a problem here and I dont mean just when eating out.
Im from Slovenia so english in not my First language also but in Slovenija language is not a problem so we were somewhat surprised. But ok, hands gestures also works.
Back to the waitress...She is very Nice with a smile on her face and a great attitude. Recommends what to eat and since my spanish is not ideal she translates in english if you are not certain what is what. Thank you again. Next Time we are here we Will be back.
If you want to eat great pizza (probably otra comida tambien) go here. Both...
Read moreThe best pizza experience in Barcelona. Warning ⚠️ I’m one of the most difficult customer regarding pizza. The dough is the most important part, the ingredients, and then if you top it all up with love, there you have That’s Amore pizza. Every time I feel the need to call Simonella and let her know the pleasure and delightness she’s spreading in the Barcelona’s homes. It is unique, the growth of the dough it is a minimum 48h process, that’s when you get the lightest and best digestive process, instead of those pizza which you can never digest and you bring it along until the next day with a stomachache (poor growth of the dough). Thing is that she’s a master of the dough and then she has the knowledge to choose the right ingredients. Top quality, top freshness. Everything italian baby 🇮🇹 plus she knows how to look after her customers with some presents time to time. I’m focusing on the pizza, but the dessert, the fried stuff.... everything so amazing! Another thing I’ve noticed every time is that, even if I’m living across the city, so a lil far, the pizza always arrives warm. I will be her customer forever. Thank you...
