Came here since it was one of the restaurants our hotel recommended and we were disappointed. The spaghetti alla carbonara was creamy but lacking flavor and the spaghetti Bolognese was decent but the noodles were under cooked. To top it off we placed our order and when we did the waiter asked if we wanted any other plates and we said no. We ordered two beers and when he came back with them he also had chicken pate with croustinis. Since we had already said we didn't want any other plates we thought it was complimentary but when we got the bill sure enough they had charged us for it. If your looking for a good meal I suggest...
Read moreI was expecting more after reading the reviews but the pasta was really normal (something you could make at home) and the service wasn’t good. The only thing I liked was the chocolate mouse. It is not worth what it costs. Instead, I would recommend you to go to Il Commendatore, which is 3 min away and waaay better.

Read moreSuper friendly owner who owns a few Italian outposts in Barcelona. This is the most famous of the bunch and it’s full of pictures of some of it’s notable past guests including Pele. I tried a truffle carbonara a sinful concoction that to the Italian carbonara chef will seem like sacrilege, but it actually worked. Also tried the Parmesan aubergine very nice indeed and a plate of grilled fruti di mare. I finished with the tiramisu. Great choice if you want to try something other than Catalan food...
