Xoubas Food — Restaurant in Barcelona

Xoubas turned out to be an unexpected gem. The space is spotless and casual, and the team made us feel welcome the moment we walked in. Our plates arrived quickly, and every bite tasted fresh and well-seasoned.

The white fish was tender and flaky, served beside crisp vegetables that still had a little snap. The tabouleh with chickpeas was bright and herby, a perfect balance to the fish, and the Greek yogurt with raspberry preserve landed right between tangy and sweet. A bonus bread on the side finished things off.

Getting all of that for about twenty bucks felt almost unreal, especially with service this attentive. Clean space, kind people, and food that over-delivers on flavor make Xoubas an easy spot...

Great local lunch place, that you can tell straight away is freshly prepared on site, with a family home cooked feel to the food. More so because mum and dad are in the kitchen and the team upfront serving.

This place offers a great menu that changes daily and always with choices of either fish, meat and vegetarian options. They also have gluten free options too.

Lo descubrí esta semana recién llegada a Barcelona de mi tierra natal, Galicia, y encontrarme lo fue una sorpresa y un gustazo. La comida está buenísima y la atención al cliente es genial. Cuando supieron que era gallega, nos echamos todos unas risas y salió el cocinero a saludarme y a hablar un poco conmigo.

Es genial tener un sitio como este cerca de casa, ya que te permite salir de trabajar y cogerte algo de comer sano y rico sin tener que irte muy lejos o pagar una fortuna. Y encima comer platos de nuestra propia cultura y que no todo sean pizzas o hamburguesas.

Quizá la única pega que pondría es el exceso de uso de plásticos para llevar la comida, por lo que os dejo en sugerencias el que incorporeis el uso de bandejas o cuencos reciclados o reutilizables.
