Pershïc — Restaurant in Bilbao

Sitting on a Gold mine and they don’t even know it! What everyone says is true, the prices are astronomical for basic quality, we were very surprised to be charged €10 for 2 Martini rosso ( which is twice the price of any plaza mayor I’ve had a vermouth in) , the food was not tempting (about 5 single dried out looking things in the case) and it was so weird with an, I think vintage pop up shop in the front, with the smell of incense everywhere . But it would be so easy to make this a cool Madrid style happening bar with just a couple tweaks, namely, lowering their prices and appealing to the locals, getting rid of the pop up shop, losing the pretentiousness (there’s nothing to be pretentious about) and taking out all the fake plastic flowers hanging from the ceiling everywhere and in vases and letting the beautiful decor shine for itself. It could be the most beautiful space, the music was spot on, and the location is A+ - it just needs a little tweaking. If it weren’t for falling in love with potential we’d give it a 1* but we hope the owners make the changes required to turn this in to the gold mine we see...

Very nice place, friendly staff, the interior is nicely balanced with the light creating a wonderful atmosphere to relax for a little while out of the daily craziness. the food is nicely decorated and tastes delicious paired with a good glass of wine.
