Confusione Pizza & Bar — Restaurant in Cádiz

I have been at this place several times 2 years ago and was very impressed with the service and the food. So I decided to come back for the A+ experience

But this place is not what it once was.

My problems with this place:

1. When 2 people are eating together, it's crucial to bring the food at the same time. My wife was first given pasta, and when she was finished with the pasta, my pizza came, around 15 min later.

2. My wife wanted a pasta, and the kitchen suggested something "fuera de la carta". Which was very average. The comical incident took place when we were supposed to pay. We were charged 18 euros for the avrage pesto pasta, while the most expensive pasta on the menu was 13 euros.

When I asked the reason behind the high price, the woman attending me said "Because it fresh pasta"

Excuse me, but when I come to an ITALIAN restaurant with 1/3 of the menu consisting of pasta. I EXPECT the pasta to fresh. And if you are going to charge an overprice for fresh pasta - you better inform the customer

3. Dark uninviting spot on the white table.

This place has great reviews and we were left really disappointed. We ordered a pizza and it was poor. The base was hard, no seasoning, and the ham was the sort of ham I would avoid buying ever! The stuff that’s made up of churned up random pieces of pig, boiled ham and tasteless. Cheap SF. I mean look at the picture!! The pizza lacked flavour.

Then they tried to charge us €60 for a €20 bill. I had to point out the issues twice. Tried to charge up twice for everything then for a bottle of wine instead of a glass. If we didn’t look at it we could easily have tapped, paid and left without realising. Potential scam or genuine mistake?

The upside. The pizza is fine and cheap. But not great pizza. We have a pizza oven at home and make farrrrrr better pizza than this.

Pizza margherita was quite good, pasta with shrimps wasn't and I tell you why: waitress offered two kinds of pasta dishes as "daily menu". When I asked about the price, she didn't understand properly. Ok, it's daily menu, the most expensive 'pasta item' on the menu cost 10-13 (max.), nothing surprised me. Typical primi piatti arrived on table, smaller portion, average in every aspect (definitely not fresh pasta). Price? 16,50 €. Ridiculous. When I was paying I asked about item: "Is this price for our meal?" - "Yes". I was impressed (in a bad way). And when they give me more money back (few euros), it wasn't mistake. It looks like compansation for complaint. The price is flexible or what? I'm definitely not only one who experienced something like that with items off the menu. Seems like scam on tourists,...
