Food is excellent, service friendly. I had salmorejo and smthg with "choco", spinach and peas. I tried 2 different wine. They were good. I appreciated the waiter let me try before a full pour.
There are 2 things I didnt like/ this is a note for the owner:
The bread - it tasted like heated frozen bun. I would prefer fresh baguette. I would also be happy if I was told that it doesnt come with the soup, but costs extra - I didnt ask for it for my second choice of a meal.
Originally I wanted a marinero stew with seafood and chickpeas. Then the waiter informed me there is pork meat in it. Why is this ingredient not written on the menu?? There are many people who have issues with the pork - I "just" dont eat that meat. Anyways, I was happy that he told me, so that I can make a different choice on what to eat. Originally I ordered the bread with the stew. I didnt order it with my second choice, but still got it. So I assumed it comes with it. And then it...
Read moreSimply terrible. Inside tables stacked with filthy dishes, outside tables wiped but sticky. Service incredibly slow. Probably waited 15 minutes just to get a menu. Kitchen closed at noon on Saturday, so very limited options. Portions were tiny yet expensive. The coffee had grounds in it and was served in a glass with bits of food stuck to the outside. One of us completely finished our food before the other one was served. The food was so disappointing. The croissant just had a slice of deli meat and a slice of cheese on it. The waffle was gummy and sickly sweet. The orange juice was just okay but the large size was like a small anywhere else. The table next to us ordered sangria and left their glasses 80% full of brown liquid with a tiny piece of citrus. I can’t imagine how anyone could write a positive review of this place. Walked into the market afterward and could have gotten better food at any one of the stalls...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I love Cadiz and every time we come to this amazing town we try out new restaurants. A local friend told us about this culinaric gem. It‘s located right next to the scenic market hall. The waiters are very friendly (if your are lucky Nicolas will serve you, he has a great humour). We were here on Good Friday so I can only vouch for their fish. But, gosh, this is definitely defined one of the best fish restaurants in town (and we tried a few over the years) My girlfriend had a great tuna steak and I enjoyed an amazing mixed seafood platter. Also, don‘t muss their Salmorejo (a local tomatoe soup). It‘s delicious and we always order it for starters! We will definitely...
