A beautiful little fish cafe/restaurant situated in the heart of Cadiz's flower square.

We didn't have to wait for a table (what luck) but instead sampled a small selection of their delicious tapas over several glasses of moscotel whilst being glared at by those waiting for a table. I must confess this did make me take even longer to finish my meal - well, it passes the time! We were situated by the entrance too... a marvellous place to spend an entire afternoon watching the world and it's people go by.

Service was fast and friendly, even when I provided the floor show by pouring a bottle of water over myself. The waiter was very concerned for my welfare and that was sweet.

Would we return? Absolutely. Prices are cheap and more than acceptable for the quality of food served. We will definitely be recommending this place to all of our future...

We have been eating as often as we can on our trip across Spain. Loved so many tavernas and restaurants for their great small offerings/tapas. Using TripAdviser as our guide, everyone of our choices have been worthy of posters’ ratings except this one. We both had separately agreed upon the same conclusion. Here, the food was so unspectacular that it makes me not feel bad to post this downgraded rating. All of our fish tapas came totally plain, without garnishes or any creativity. All fried in the same cornmeal type coating. There are tons of things that can make a person sick so I am not blaming the fish. But 8 hours after eating the fish tapas, my wife had the worst sudden onset projectile vomiting episode. Felt much better afterwards. Even without the sickness event, we would not return to this...

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 AVOID!

Food arrived almost an hour after ordering.

Ordered three dishes, only one gets served- after almost an hour.

After another 30 minutes if we hadn't asked, they wouldn't have served the rest of the dishes ordered.

The first order served was wrong. Didn't bother to correct it since we were already very hungry waiting for almost an hour. We ordered baby squids and we received the regular sized ones.

The shrimp fritters were awful. Its full of batter and no shrimps at all. Its more like a batter deep fried. Disgusting.

The bread served was extremely stale and cardboard-like in texture. Very bad.

We could've gotten so much more for our money from another place.

AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

Customers never complain, WE JUST...

This restaurant is heaving with locals at lunchtime - both inside and outside - and you may have to wait for a table. We started with a mixed seafood salad which was lovely and fresh with lots of seafood. I then had a plate of tiger prawns which were delicious and perfectly cooked. We then shared a fried mixed seafood platter which had lots of different items but they all tasted very much the same and I didnt think it was very special. The 3 dishes and 2 beers came to 32.85 euros which was a bit high for lunch especially as it wasnt great. Worth trying for the experience but dont bother with the fried mixed platter.

Great seafood spot that has the local vibe. We chose to sit outside, great for people watching on busy walkway. Food was great, service was better and the check was minimal. Tapas are only served at bar and we had a beer and few tapas while waiting on table. We ordered the 'Surtido Frito Gaditano' to sample everything along with an order of 'Pechos de cangrejo ruso' and the 'pulpo a la gallega' - the Pechos were my personal favorite. The Sangria is also a great choice if beer is not your thing. Affordable, good food and great service - you cant go wrong!
