Cafè l'Arc — Restaurant in Girona

I think this is what happens when a restaurant that clearly hates the tourists operates in a very touristy area.

Food: The price, the size, and the taste of the drinks here are awful.

Experience: Soon as we walked in, we were shown an attitude and basically harrased over ordering food- the server came to us like 2x in a 3 mins span to ask what we wanted. After ordering, the guy at the counter told us there's an extra charge to add milk to espresso. When I asked why, he said "because its milk." Ok..?

As we were leaving, the same guy literally ran after us all the way outside the restaurant to yell at us in front of our children for taking extra packets of sugar. My wife kept explaining that since there was NO MILK in the espresso, it was super sour but he kept yelling. And as soon as I took my phone out to video record him, he suddenly backed off.

If I could I’d give it 0 stars. Service was very rude. We were stopping for drinks and tapas but they were so rude those that had already ordered had their drinks and the rest of us decided not to order anything. We were actually going to stop for food there too, but the terrible service made us decide not to bother with the food. I’d like to think they’d actually care they lost 6 diners, but I don’t think they will be too bothered though as it is fewer people for them to have to serve. I’d avoid this cafe if I were you. See the cathedral and go elsewhere for drinks. They don’t like tourists yet set up next to a tourist attraction. Absolutely horrendous service. Never go to this place, it absolutely ruined my experience and my mother’s in Girona. The waitress behind the counter was extremely rude. Coffee was overpriced and terrible. I was forced to buy a coffee to use the loo and my mother, suffering from a heat stroke was subsequently not even allowed to sit inside because she wasn’t buying anything. Im surprised at how this restaurant is still afloat despite their terrible coffee and pathetic service. The rest of the reviews are proof of their terrible behaviour across the board.
