Well, what a find! If your here in Jerez because you want to get away from the usual touristo spain then you must find time to visit Tabankino. Our second visit after being so impressed first time round. Kino, the owner, chef and host is so invested in his restaurant you can't fail to feel his passion and love for his country's cuisine ,wine and sherry . First time we found the restaurant, we were in the area and was lucky to get a table late on Thursday night. We booked again for a Monday, again its was full by 9.00,on a Monday! Clientele was a mixture from across Europe and the US, with plenty of locals, always a good sign! The menu offers different size portions, my recommendation would be a sharing tapas approach first time round ,we went for the 49€ each pairing menu of 4 dishes and 4 sherry's or wines, excellent with kinos knowledge and explanations, a truly spainish experience! Please don't be put off by the 49€ , our first visit including water and a lovely vino blanco semi dolce was only 48€ for 2 . Typical old barn setting, only 20 or so covers, a wonderful and memorable spainish food and drink experience ! A suggestion would be some live spainish guitar music to really top it off. Thanks...

The food is something else and beyond anything you can expect from an expensive restaurant, it was excellent in every aspect!!l
Prices are affordable, but the food and the sevice quality and the way you're treated from the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, make it worth so much more than you're actually paying.
I've been in an infinity of places to eat, and by far, this is my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world. The owner advised us on the menu and even wine pairings, Kino is an amazing person that makes you feel welcomed and cared for.
Thank you Kino for giving us these amazing experiences!
Do not hesitate to go here, I am confident they will blow away your...
Read moreFollowing other reviews, I headed to this hidden road off the beaten tourist path. I wondered if I was straying too far, and at moments doubted if I should turn back around, but luckily, I stayed true to my purpose. Food was by far the best I had during my Andalucia road trip. I genuinely was ordering the same food the table next to me was eating due to the noises of pleasure they were making while eating it. In no time, I was making the same happy noises. I still can not understand how a sardine toast can be so incredibly tasty. Extra points for the ambience and the incredibly attentive staff, explaining in detail every dish and making you feel like you are in a...
