Well, what a find! If your here in Jerez because you want to get away from the usual touristo spain then you must find time to visit Tabankino. Our second visit after being so impressed first time round. Kino, the owner, chef and host is so invested in his restaurant you can't fail to feel his passion and love for his country's cuisine ,wine and sherry . First time we found the restaurant, we were in the area and was lucky to get a table late on Thursday night. We booked again for a Monday, again its was full by 9.00,on a Monday! Clientele was a mixture from across Europe and the US, with plenty of locals, always a good sign! The menu offers different size portions, my recommendation would be a sharing tapas approach first time round ,we went for the 49€ each pairing menu of 4 dishes and 4 sherry's or wines, excellent with kinos knowledge and explanations, a truly spainish experience! Please don't be put off by the 49€ , our first visit including water and a lovely vino blanco semi dolce was only 48€ for 2 . Typical old barn setting, only 20 or so covers, a wonderful and memorable spainish food and drink experience ! A suggestion would be some live spainish guitar music to really top it off. Thanks...

If you're coming to jerez, this restaurant is an absolute must! We came to have a nice lunch and had such a good time that we returned again for diner the day after.

The food is something else and beyond anything you can expect from an expensive restaurant, it was excellent in every aspect!!l

Prices are affordable, but the food and the sevice quality and the way you're treated from the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, make it worth so much more than you're actually paying.

I've been in an infinity of places to eat, and by far, this is my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world. The owner advised us on the menu and even wine pairings, Kino is an amazing person that makes you feel welcomed and cared for.

Thank you Kino for giving us these amazing experiences!

Do not hesitate to go here, I am confident they will blow away your...

Following other reviews, I headed to this hidden road off the beaten tourist path. I wondered if I was straying too far, and at moments doubted if I should turn back around, but luckily, I stayed true to my purpose. Food was by far the best I had during my Andalucia road trip. I genuinely was ordering the same food the table next to me was eating due to the noises of pleasure they were making while eating it. In no time, I was making the same happy noises. I still can not understand how a sardine toast can be so incredibly tasty. Extra points for the ambience and the incredibly attentive staff, explaining in detail every dish and making you feel like you are in a...

We have eaten at numerous well-recommended places in the broader region. Nothing has come close to the quality, variety and creativity of the food we enjoyed at Kino’s Tabanco (Tabankino). The range and quality of his homemade sherry’s were exceptional - we have even ordered some for the UK. Kino will take you through the menu patiently and in great detail. I advise you follow his recommendations - there wasn’t one that came up short of our ever increasing expectations. Even some regulars were kind enough to come over and have a chat with us - regulars that have been frequenting since he opened. Anyway - try it for yourself. Worth the drive.

This place is really worth seeking out. It might be quite difficult to locate within the narrow streets of Jerez but what a find! Excellent food and excellent service from a knowledgeable English speaking Kino. He is a great host, who explains where all ingredients originate from, how they are cooked and what delicious tastes are achieved. There's no need for a menue, just let Kino guide you through this culinary experience. He makes his own sherry too, which is just as wonderful as the food!! We spent about £35 for the whole experience.
