Restaurante Me Gustas Tu — Restaurant in La Oliva

Great food, nice people but badly organised. My wife booked on line as we had eaten there before recently and pre pandemic so knew the food was good and was worth booking. We had confirmation back that we were booked in. When we got there no table, showed them their confirmation, they they rushed out two tables and sat us out over a near by smelly drain (very smelly). This is not the first time that their disorganisation has let us down. My wife is a vegetarian so we like what they can offer, time previous they told us she might have to wait up to 30 minutes for some of the veggie meals to arrive as they were not there yet and may not be available at all, we only went there because of the veggie choice (bit of a joke really offering veggie then not having it) don’t get me wrong the food is great, the family are lovely, the Dad works very hard in the kitchen, mother very passionate about what they do as we have witnessed her cry, they work so hard yet they let the customers down. We wished them through the pandemic as we know as a family business how hard things were, we were jubilant on their survival, but guys listen hard get more Organised and move back a little more to your signature dishes. Delicious food. I found the place on tiktok. I was very happy to check it out and I was not disappointed. We ordered: bread with aioli and olive oil, shrimps, squid, sweet potatoes and home wine. Everything was very good. The service was also great, the waiter was very nice. There is one minus, during our 2weeks-long vacation we wanted to return to the restaurant - unfortunately, the opening days given on Google were different from reality, so we came twice and the restaurant was closed. Finally, on the third try, we managed to find an open restaurant. There was one tiny minus during our visit - we didn't get plates and cutlery and we had to wait a long time to get them because the waitress (who was taking care of our table) forgot. Me and my partner came for dinner, in actual fact, I'm still in the restaurant now finishing a drink, I didn't want to forgot to give this place the amazing review it deserved. Everything was fabulous. From start to finish, as both a fish eater and a vegan we were both catered for. I also don't drink and there was 0.0 alcohol free wine. Both white and red, which is such a rarity and I got to enjoy a booze free sangria after the waiters suggestion. Big shout out to Keith, what a legend he is and an absolute credit to the place. One vegan set, octopus and king prawns in saffron and garlic later, which had my partner stealing bread from my dish for so he could mop up every last morsel and we've left comfortably full and super satisfied.
