Alegrías La Mojiteria — Restaurant in Madrid

We had a really sweet menu del día at Alegrías. We were wondering along Tribunal and stumbled across this place, and were pulled in by the cheap price - just 11€ for a menú, which is fantastic, especially on the weekend. Just a note that while this does include bread and a dessert/coffee the menu does not include a drink so you will have to pay for them separately.

My girlfriend is vegetarian and is a big fan of salmorejo so we went to this place because it accommodated these preferences. The salmorejo was okay - 6/10 but lacked flavour. However the pasta with pesto that I had for starter was delicious, really flavourful. I also had the burger for main course which was surprisingly really really delicious. It was a bit sweet, the meat was cooked really well and the chips too were yummy. For dessert there were options of natillas, flan, melon and something else - I opted for natillas which always hits the spot.

The mojito was one of the nicest that either of us had tried ever. It was 5.50€ when drunk with the menu. I feel like 4.50€ for a caña of the IPA was quite expensive, but overall it balanced out. The staff were welcoming and the decor inside...

Cócteles y Mojitos: Aquí es donde Allegrias se destaca de verdad. Su barra no solo es un lugar donde sirven bebidas, sino un escenario donde la mixología se convierte en arte. La especialidad en mojitos es insuperable. Cada mojito está preparado con precisión, respetando la tradición pero no temiendo a la innovación. La hierbabuena, el zumo de lima, el azúcar, y el ron blanco se mezclan en proporciones perfectas, creando una bebida que refresca y satisface en igual medida. Además, la variedad de cócteles es amplia, ofreciendo algo para todos los gustos, desde los clásicos hasta creaciones únicas que hacen que tu paladar viaje por el mundo.

Conclusión: Allegrias es más que un lugar para comer y beber; es una experiencia que combina excelente comida, atención estelar, y una maestría en la preparación de cócteles, especialmente mojitos, que es difícil encontrar en cualquier otro lugar. I really don’t know how this place has 4 stars. It was the most unbelievably horrible experience I had at a restaurant! I was with a friend that order 2 plates, I ordered just a drink cause I wasn’t hungry. My friend didn’t like the first dish so I tried it and then the waitress came to told us we can’t share! like I can’t eat it from her plate!
