I used to love this restaurant, but unfortunately after 3 very negative experiences there in a row, I will not be returning. There is some new guy who seems to have taken over the restaurant in the past year and he has created a horrible atmosphere there. After only 40 minutes of sitting on the terraza, while we were mid-way through our entrees (and still had dessert left included in our menu del dia), he came up and tried to take our dishes away, telling us there were "clients waiting for our table." Mind you, it was a Monday night and the entire inside was empty. We told him we (obviously) weren't finished, and he proceeded to angerly pace around us and try to take our food and drinks away (at times while they were literally in our hands) throughout the rest of the meal. It was such an uncomfortable, rude experince, we couldn't believe it. On top of all that, the food was NOT good. Way worse than it used to be. We ordered 3 dishes to share (aloo gobi, chicken tikka masala, and lamb masala), and ended up mixing them all together because they all tasted the same. Such a shame that a restaurant I used to like has fallen this far. I wouldn't recommend it...
Read moreOrdered from here and what a huge disappointment. I’m a huge fan of Indian food, and have tried my fair share of Indian restaurants all over the world. The food here for the most part was bad. The only good things were the garlic naan and a passable vegetable curry.
The fried eggplant was literally 1 slice of eggplant covered in so much batter, the whole thing was chewy and extremely greasy.
The palak paneer was the worst I’ve had. The paneer was a joke, just tiny little broken bits like it was the last spoon of paneer they had so they had to stir it in till it like cottage cheese to make it seem like more. Not to mention it was sweet! And not just a little sweet, but very sweet. Did the chef mistake sugar for salt?? Palak paneer is not supposed to be sweet...
Finally, the butter chicken... it was again very sweet... even sweeter than the palak paneer and sickening. Now I’m a fan of sweet curries - I’m a huge fan of Thai curries and butter chicken is supposed to be a bit sweet. But this was over the top. It was so sweet, you couldn’t taste the spices or butter at all. What a complete disappointment and...
Read moreNot only was the so called „curry“ horrendously disgusting but they even forgot the rice… We had ordered the food via „UberEats“ where we had explicitly mentioned that we needed cutlery which they failed to include. But the shitshow doesn’t stop there. The entire bag was soaking wet as they were seemingly unable to correctly use their own containers and hadn’t properly closed the lid on the curry. There was more grease in the food than you would find in any bottle of vegetabel oil but somehow they had still managed to prepare the driest chicken any of us had ever tasted. So there we sat, with our inedible curry and no way of eating it. In an attempt to salvage the situation we bought some bread to dip into the food which was a utter waste of bread. Never in my life have I ever regarded any type of food with that much contempt or dispair. Long story short we paid 40€ for a stomach-churning curry we could not eat. This restaurant deserves an abysmal review and if the owners have any plan to salvage their business they must change it root and branch. Would...
