Worst place I’ve been in Madrid. Hands down. Let me share my experience this morning, 1st of August. We were convinced by the waiter at the entrance, who insisted for us to seat and have something. We were looking for a couple expressos, so we did. He wasn’t happy we just wanted to have the 2 expressos and a bottle of water, so he tried to push us something else, like orange juice or something else I don’t recall atm. The coffees were served in tall glasses and basically undrinkable, just bad. I couldn’t drink more than 3 sips on mine… I asked for the bill - 2 coffees and 1 small bottle of water we’re 8,50€. We asked the waiter the cost, which was 2,50€ for the coffees and 3,50€ for the water. I payed 11€ for 2 beers and a natural orange juice near Plaza Mayor, so I knew I was just being robbed without pointing me a gun… I didn’t say nothing, just payed and was about to leave when the waiter asked me why I didn’t drink my coffee, if it was bad… I then replied joking that it wasn’t really good and that coffee was in Portugal, to which he immediately replied “then just go there!”. So… bad food, bad atmosphere, bad service. The full package. You’re better off just throwing money at the gutter , because at least it won’t bad mouth you… Avoid...

My daughter & I stopped in to grab a quick lunch and each ordered a sandwich. They were disappointing, having barely any fixings/content... resembling a bread sandwich. They were definitely below average. However, the real issue was we also ordered "calamari", and pointed to the person next to us who had that appetizer (see pic). Unfortunately, the waiter must have been distracted as he put the order in as a calamari sandwich.... we didn't know that even existed! As if 3 sandwiches for 2 people wasn't odd enough, we both ordered 'no mayonnaise' on our sandwiches, and the unwanted calamari sandwich was drenched in mayo. To make an untenable situation far worse, they refused to take the wrong dish back AND insisted we pay for it!!! While I wanted to throw the calamari sandwich at the manager, we simply left it untouched on the table (they probably served it to the next person who didn't order it). If I could zero stars I would. PS. To be fair, we did order a couple shandy's (beer+lemonade) and they were...

My partner and I stopped in for patatas bravas and drinks. While waiting for the order, the waiter kept on bringing olives. Although we hadn't ordered olives, we'd read it's quite common for places like that to throw in some tapas on the house in Spain. Everything was okay until we asked for the bill; the waiter didn't bring any itemized bill, he just said the price! We didn't know how to respond to such a situation and just paid up, we thought that was common...

No way should Google only rate this place as 3.5. This has been the best brunch we've had in Spain so far. The “Oreja Plancha con salsa brava” was excellent, and the Americano was great too. We loved being surrounded by local foodies enjoying tapas, jamón, and fresh bread. Definitely worth a visit! ❤️

This place is a total tourist trap and absolutely disgusting! They don’t give you a receipt unless you specifically ask for it. €10 for a sangria that’s so sugary it crunches between your teeth. Everyone should stay far away!!
