Casa Pachuco — Restaurant in Madrid

GREAT SPANISH FUSION. Appearances can be misleading: When you first enter Casa Pachuco, you get the feeling of participating in a garage sale. And its name suggests a "casa de comidas", where standard fare is served to a bunch of regulars. But Casa Pachuco features a surprisingly modern cuisine that fuses Spanish and (mostly) Asian influences. We ordered Thai meatballs, Korean salad and fried artichokes with poached egg. All three dishes were outstanding. There's also a good wine list, which includes several natural wines (if that's your thing). The food may take a bit to arrive, given that Casa Pachuco seems to be a two-man show, with a single cook and a single waiter. Visited May, 2015. So glad this is still there! Delicious and affordable bistro just slightly southwest of Parque El Retiro and El Museo Prado. It is popular so reserve or arrive early. Even so, the proprietor sat us at a table that was essentially a shelf with two seats. All was delicious but my standout was the "tartar de atun y aguacate". So delicious with beautifully balanced flavors. "Alcachofas con huevo" was also good. My companion had the "albondigas thai" the at he enjoyed. They had a nice, simple, wine selection to go along with the meal. All in all delicious...

El restaurante CASA PACHUCO es un entrañable restaurante situado en calle de los Tres Peces, 15 (zona Antón Martín, Madrid). Si quieres tomarte una caña por la zona antes de comer o cenar, también hay otras opciones disponibles.

José o "Pachuco" (el encargado) es súper atento y siempre intenta acomodarte llamando previamente para reservar. El servicio es muy amable y están pendientes responder dudas o recomendarte cualquier sugerencia dentro y fuera de la carta.

La calidad de sus productos es un 10/10; degustamos sus "KFC" (Korean Friend Chicken (¡Para nosotros de lo mejor!), siempre tomamos sus albóndigas Thai, Ssäm de jabuguita pibil, aguachiles de gamba y mango y de poste tarta de queso... y nos quedamos con ganas de probar más platos de la carta de lo bueno que estaba todo, aunque volveremos otro día para probar más cosas.

Su cerveza de grifo es Alhambra y, aunque no haya Mahou, se sirve a una temperatura perfecta. De cara a mejorar, solamente recomendaríamos expandir su carta de vinos para acompañar sus platos de manera complementaria.

Lo más probable es que volvamos repetidas veces y con distintos motivos, y excusas. Muchísimas gracias por tratarnos tan bien y sobre todo por el esfuerzo que hacéis combatiendo la nueva normativa.
