Cervecería 100 Montaditos — Restaurant in Madrid

On two trips to Madrid in late 2018, I ate at 100 Montaditos several times and was happy to see that on Sundays and Wednesdays most tapas are only 1 Euro each. So if you order several food items, it’s like having a full dinner and you can indulge with a glass of beer.

This place can be crowded and noisy after work when many people stop by to eat and drink a beer or two. There are no real tables, but tall stools with narrow eating counters, so it would not be good for disabled people.

While the food may not be gourmet, it is fine for snacks. I also ordered a generous portion of fresh potato chips for 1 Euro and could not finish them inside and so I took the remainder back to my hotel.

The toilets are downstairs, service is fairly quick, and credit cards...

Cheap food and drink that seemed to be very popular with young locals. The concept is that they specialise in small sandwiches and offer a huge variety of them alongside beers and a selection of hot dishes. It was really busy so there wasn't a lot of space to spread out but I suppose that's part of the charm and the service was quick. It might not be clear when you make your order but there is a serving hatch somewhere in the restaurant and they will call your name when your food is ready and check the items off your receipt. In some part of the bar you might not be able to hear your name being called...

Somos clientas habituales y el otro día tuvimos la peor experiencia. Fuimos a desayunar como de costumbre y dimos con Elizabeth, cuando fui a pedir el desayuno no me estaba haciendo ni caso y obviamente me lo puso mal. Pedimos 2 colacaos y un café y ella puso dos cafés y un colacao,cuando le dije que así no era ya me puso mala cara. Éramos tres y no tomamos la leche igual,cuando me di la vuelta a preguntar a mi hermana como quería la leche (la del colocado) me dijo caliente y automáticamente sin preguntar la echo en el café, cuando la leche del café era fría . Al decírselo me dice que yo le dije caliente y que es lo q hay,le dije dije de buenas manera que me cambiase el café que así no lo queríamos y su respuesta fue pues no te lo tomes. Obviamente ya no la contesté bien y ella en vez de atendernos como se debe,decidió atender a la persona de detrás nuestra e ir poniéndole el desayuno mientras ponía el nuestro y me seguí ignorando. Empezamos a discutir y me dijo q me iba a echar del local cuando yo solo quería que nos pusiera bien el desayuno (que creo q es lo más normal ya que es su trabajo). El señor de detrás decidió darle la razón cuando no la tenía y empezó a insultarnos. Yo le pedí una hoja de reclamaciones y ella siguió ignorándome. Otra señora se metió dándonos la razón y diciendo que no tiene maneras que siempre está de mal humor y que en varias ocasiones también han tenido algún altercado ya que la mujer siempre le pide dos platos de bolsas de pollo separados y ella se lo pone junto y le dice que es lo que hay (la misma respuesta que me dio a mí). Siempre íbamos mi familia y yo a desayunar e iban mucho también con mis amigas. Pero tengo claro que no pienso volver a este establecimiento gracias a la simpática camarera que tenéis,habéis perdido varios clientes gracias a este fatídico...
