Glorious chaos. Went here a couple of years ago and we were determined to come back. First time was quite intimidating, it's noisy and busy and the servers are constantly shouting, they shout at you when you enter and shout when you order. As a Brit, it took a moment to realise it's how they welcome you in and relay your order to the kitchen and no-one is actually mad at you. It can range from half empty to standing room only, find anywhere you can to sit or stand and if you're not next to the bar just order by shouting it over someone's head, that same person may also help pass you your food from the bar. It's classic tapas, lots of small plates of quickly prepared but tasty food. I recommend chopitos (baby squid) and calamari. The beer is good too. In short, if you're in the centre of town and want to see how locals go about eating, this is a great place with a great...

I wish I had read the reviews before entering this place. The waiter takes orders super fast. When I wanted to pay with a card, the waiter didn’t lower the scanner so I can see better on which price to pay (euros or dollars). I ended up tapping the US dollars by accident because I could barely see what the monitor was displaying. Ended up overpaying by 3.50$. When I realized that I had pressed the US dollars, I told the waiter that I wanted to pay in euros. He tells me in Spanish that this is what happens when you rush. The hell is he talking about rushing? When the only person running around like a chicken and taking orders nonstops left and right was him.

If you are a tourist, I highly suggest you go to an authentic place. This is more of a bar experience where...

Very old-skool vibes! People who were serving us both visits were very jolly and kind!

Good calamari sandwich and mussels + beer = €13.50 VERY GOOD AND TASTY. service fast and food hot.

Second visit, tried the potato salad = really appreciate them giving us BIG portion but it was nothing WOW and they gave us free olives!

My travel partner liked the calamari but not with the bread, however I really liked it better with the bread (especially if you love pastries/bread -- their baguette was hot and salted!!!!) I was recommended to go Bar Postas but they didn't have mussels :( this place had more variety!

My top recommendation; CALAMARI BREAD AND MUSSELS (sweet even though hairy 😆)...

This place opens early for breakfast. It also has so many options besides sandwiches that I’d try but I’d be full Squid sandwich - 4/5. I have never tried this before but the calamari with bread is strange. I wish there is some type of sauce on it but maybe the original version doesn’t have any. Ham sandwich 5/5 - the basic is the best. Just simple ham and bread makes this meal tasty. Also Spanish ham itself is high quality. Overall the restaurant serves very fast. The counter top design is unique. I would definitely come back to try other dishes. Prices are affordable.
