El Perro y la Galleta - Restaurante en Juan Bravo — Restaurant in Madrid

If you’re in Madrid and love dogs or just want to try something a bit different, El Perro y la Galleta is worth checking out. They have a few spots around the city like Retiro, Malasaña, and Chamberí, all with a cool vibe full of dog-themed decor, from plush toys to vintage radios. It’s cozy and actually dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along if you want.

The food is a mix of international dishes with some creative twists, especially desserts that feature their signature cookie. The artichokes were wonderful and the Lomo Alto was fantastic. Some plates really hit the spot and look great, but honestly, not everything blew me away. You might find some hits and misses depending on what you order. The service was great, friendly and professional the whole time.

The lighting is way too dim. Trying to read the menu feels like a workout for your eyes and can get frustrating. You might want to bring a phone flashlight or be ready to guess what you are ordering.

Prices are pretty fair for what you get and the atmosphere makes it a nice place to hang out, especially if you are into dogs. Just don’t expect a perfect meal every time and be ready to squint at the menu.

All in all, El Perro y la Galleta is a fun spot with personality, good for a casual meal with friends or your pup. Just maybe don’t plan on reading the menu...

¡Les hace falta mejorar en todo!

Hace unas noches fui a cenar a este sitio para festejar el cumpleaños de una conocida, la experiencia y la comida fueron verdaderamente lamentables:

🍽️La comida: Te reciben con una cortesía de pan francés afortunadamente caliente , con tres tipos de salsa bastante buenas debo decir, ahora los platos que probé y su descripción

🥩Cachopo de ternera con trufa y queso: Este plato no me supo a nada de lo mencionado en el nombre, la carne por partes sin sabor y por otras partes muy salado, lo único rescatable de este plato fue ensalada de rúcula con tomate 24€ , que sinceramente el plato no lo vale en lo absoluto un 7/10

🥩Picanha de novillo Angus Argentino con chimichurri y puré de patata trufado: Si un Argentino probara este plato estaría SUMAMENTE decepcionado, como lo estuve yo, de mala calidad la carne, dura, sin sabor, el puré de papa sabía a agua, algo tan simple como un puré de papa no entiendo como puede salir mal, fue de lo peor que he probado 22.50€ que tampoco lo vale 5/10

como postre: 🍰Tarta de queso con dulce de leche: Mal ejecutada, el sabor era bueno, pero la presentación no, venia poco cuajada, casi que podías beberte el contenido con pajita, el dulce de leche venia al fondo, COSA QUE NO TIENE SENTIDO , debería ir arriba, venia dentro del papel encerado con el que se horneo, lo cual la hacía muy difícil de comer , para mi un 6/10

💸Relación calidad precio: Entiendo que esta en una zona de elevado costo, pero me parece exagerado que por persona pagamos 40€ por comida de mala calidad y mal sabor, que consistió en un plato fuerte, un postre y agua. este apartado es un 6/10

📍Sitio: el sitio es lo único que puedo rescatar, porque es super bonito, muy interesante el concepto, cálido, me ha gustado bastante, le daría un 8.5/10

🕴🏻Servicio : Una verdadera pena, el mesero que nos atendio, todo el tiempo fue super grosero, nos preguntaba molesto las cosas, y se le veía incluso en el rostro, además a la hora de retirarnos los platos fue muy desagradable la forma en que se nos acercaron a pedirnos todo, 5/10

🍽️Variedad del menú: Variado es, porque tiene un poco de todo, pero es que de nada sirve tener variedad sino dominas y ejecutas bien ningún plato. 7/10

📝Siempre me pregunto al conocer un sitio si regresaría a el, y este es un rotundo ¡NO!, yo creo que este sitio lo tiene todo para ser estupendo, pero les hace falta replantearse todo el menú, perfeccionar el sabor, la cocción, capacitar al personal que es LA CARTA DE PRESENTACIÓN de cualquier restaurante, porque el servicio ha sido malísimo, pueden cobrar lo que quieran siempre y cuando la comida valga la pena, yo no lo recomiendo, este restaurante para...

Sad to have to post what a disappointing experience we had. They argued in front of our children. The servers were opposite of friendly and they later begrudgingly accepted that the miscommunication was due to the fact that several of the wines we asked for were no longer available and they had to update the menu. The manager was friendly. But when the bill came they charged the same for an expensive pasta dish after they said they’d do a basic (tomato) kids pasta. The food was fine but the service was beyond lacking as if we were insulting them by just being there and asking questions. A shame considering we live across the street.
