Cristina Oria Restaurante & Tienda Gourmet — Restaurant in Madrid

Its great place and tasty food, but the male waiter didn’t want to take our order even though i called him he just looked at me then ignored me for 30min i think coz he saw my wife wearing hijab he must hate muslims or arabs idk , i had to get up from my table to talk to other female not sure if she was waiter coz the shop is big and they sell other stuff than food, but she came and toke our order she was nice , and after we done i called the same guy just to make sure he have problem with us, i told him i wanna the pill he bring it and slammed on the table , i told him i am paying with card , didn’t give me any answer he went to help others make me wait 15 min 😂 i knew my feeling wasn’t wrong just had to male sure, even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded, i posted pic of the food and that waiter in the background xD, anyway if you are not Muslim or Arab i think u will like the place...

We visited Restaurant Cristina Oria with high expectations, fueled by strong recommendations. However, our anticipation was met with disappointment due to several aspects of our experience. The service was a notable downside; the staff seemed disinterested, which detracted significantly from the dining experience.

When it came to the food, we found it to be overpriced for the quality presented. The flavors didn't meet the expectations set by the price point, leaving us underwhelmed. That said, not everything fell short—the pan con tomate and jamón was genuinely good, showcasing a glimpse of what we hoped the entire meal would be.Despite this positive note, the overall experience at Restaurant Cristina Oria didn't live up to our expectations.

Considering the combination of indifferent service and the disparity between price and taste, I unfortunately find myself unable to recommend...

Sigo a CO desde hace tres años vía Insta, tengo su libro y cocino sus recetas. Me encanta. Vivo en Suiza y estoy en Madrid por el fin de semana. Reservé en Ortega y Gaset anoche, me hacía muchísima ilusión comer en un restaurante „finalmente“ de Cristina Oria!!!

Un resumen de nuestra visita:

la mesa estaba montada con platos sucios (mal lavados en el lavavajillas)Tan sucios, que la servilleta de mi pareja estába pegada en el plato.

El restaurante estaba casi vacío. 4 camareros charlaban y reían amenamente en la entrada. Parecían un grupo de clientes tomándose el aperitivo. Lograr que alguno nos viera fue todo un logro.

Al final, el camarero cambió los platos. El mantel se quedó como estaba. Era tan asquerosa la escena, que pensamos en irnos. Yo convencí a los comensales diciéndoles que nos esperaba, sin duda alguna una estupenda comida. Y que un mal día o mala suerte la tiene cualquiera…Teníamos que habernos ido!!!

El el grupo de 3 que éramos, solo yo hablo español. Nunca trajeron cartas en inglés, para mi pareja y nuestra invitada, a pesar de que solo hablábamos en alemán.

hacía tanto frío en el restaurante, que tuvimos que ponerlos las cazadoras y bufandas. Y así comimos hasta que nos fuimos. Desde luego los camareros ni se inmutaron.

6: Pedimos cinco platos para compartir. El tartar de aguacate, foi, croquetas, ensaladilla y el pan cristal con jamón. Las croquetas estaban duras. El tartar tan frío de la nevera, que hubo que esperar a que se temple para poderlo comer. La ensaladilla estaba buenísima (la hago en casa, es la receta del libro). El foi estupendo! Las tostadas que lo acompañaban, blandas e incomibles sobre todo con semejante Foi. El pan de pasas también. Al final, tuvimos que tomarnos el Foi con las regañas del aperitivo. Una lástima!

que se acerque un camarero a nuestra mesa fue un verdadero logro y ojo, estaba el restaurante vacío.

Un horror de experiencia. Llevábamos a una invitada y hemos estado es muchos sitios estupendos. Fue de vergüenza ajena.

No vuelvo a pisar un sitio CO en la vida y desde luego no lo recomendaré.
