Avoid this place like the plague! Let me start out by saying the initial point of service with the hostess was bad, the hostess wrote down the parties behind us on the first come first serve guest list. Apparently he doesn’t understand how a guest line works... After waiting for about fifteen minutes we seen the parties that were behind us getting seated, another 10 minutes passed and we got seated. Once seated, we got our menues, as an English speaker, I had no issues using my phone to translate the menue. The manager came over and seen we were speaking English and gave us English menues, so our waitress did not even care to give English speakers an alternative English menue. Then the pizza came, some of the best pizza I have had. Once we finished our pizza, we waited just shy of an hour before our food came, I noticed people who arrived thirty minutes after us getting there main dishes. Then our food came, yay!!! But... My dish was ice cold, come on!!! Really??? Anyways, my food got heated up again after I sent it back. It was now about 50% still cold, the top of my tortilini was ice cold while bottom was searing hot, well at least they tried to re-fire it. Then the check came, and the waitress was so kind to take the dish off the bill. I told her I am 100% willing to pay for the dish, I did not want a free dish. We left her a tip the price of the dish. Overall, food was decent,...
Read moreTagliatella is my favorite place to get pizza in Madrid. However, this particular location was a disappointment. The service was slow but that was understandable because it's located in the center of the city. We had hoped that despite this the food would live up to our expectations. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Our pizzas arrived cold and weren't the same quality we'd experienced at other locations. We also ordered dessert, which was good but it took them a long time to bring it to us and when they did they informed us they had sold out of one of the desserts we had ordered and asked if we wanted another. Considering it had taken so long to receive our initial order, we decided not to order something else. What we couldn't understand is why they waited to tell us they were out of the dessert we wanted until they brought us the other desserts. It seems this location is very disorganized and needs additional staff. That being said, all of the servers were professionals. If you want the real Tagliatella experience, I'd recommend finding one outside of the...
Read moreWent to restaurant based off a local recommendation. Here's my reason for the three stars: Bolognese Sauce was sweet. Not traditional Italian (non-sweet), which I prefer. Tasted like a lot of sugar was added. Really disliked it! Not American Express Credit Card friendly - Minor nit but one reason for three stars.
What they did well: Atmosphere - Very nice and clean. Pricing - Even though the Bolognese (sweet) wasn't what I expected or personally liked,.. it was well priced. Portion - Pasta dishes are large enough and made for two. Customer Service - Great before and during food service. Slow on the check out service (only negative on service side). Bread - Excellent!
Because of the sauce being sweet and not something I liked,.. I would not return for that reason. However, others may prefer that taste and if so, I'd recommend since everything else about the...
