I love Zara, but I will never shop at this location again after the way I was disrespected and humiliated the last time I was there. As I was exiting the store, I was prevented from leaving by the security guard at the door. He told me that they had found a hard tag in my dressing room after I had exited. I was kind and cooperative with him, explaining as he searched my purse and coat that I had found it in one of the jackets I had tried on and forgotten to take it out to the associate when I left. He rudely interrupted me as I tried to explain, and instead interrogated me aggressively about how many items I had tried on, where those items were and why I hadn't purchased anything. They made a big deal out of it and of course it was humiliating to have people staring at me when I had done nothing wrong. He then took me upstairs to speak with the associate and manager who had reported me, and once they realized I didn't have anything they let me go. The security guard obviously felt bad and apologized multiple times, but neither the manager nor associate offered any sort of apology. I've worked in a clothing store before and I understand that if someone seems suspicious there are steps you have to take, but we were trained to treat everyone as innocent until proven guilty, ESPECIALLY if we did not actually see them take anything, and to ask them politely to open their bags, instead of barking demands at them as if they were criminals. Additionally, the associate watching the dressing rooms did not check or clear out the room before I entered like she was supposed to, so for all she knew the removed tag could have been from the person who was there before me! I'm a young black woman, and I also feel racial profiling may have played a part in the disrespectful way the whole situation was handled. I can deal with the sales assistants being rude and unhelpful each time I go to this store, but this was just incredibly...
Read moreI was in Primark did my shopping with two of my friends and had my shopping bag with me, and then went to this Zara shop I was trying a coat and put my stuff near me but I had to go check it in the mirror, one of my friends was there so I felt it is ok. When I cameback my bag was gone, I had to look around the area to see if maybe I put it somewhere else but i didnt. So I went to the security agent he said he doesn t speak english, he called one of the staff he listened to me and then said I dont know and then he said ok wait and I did. Then he said nothing was found. And I understood that someone took my belongings and I suggested to check the camera they said they cant because its live camera they cant go back and I'm like but I just lost something valuable. I mean it was worth 50euros+ i felt so bad, i started crying. Nobody helped me, i work in customer service myself and this is not a way to deal with a customer. I felt so degraded. I understand it is mainly my fault but if there was enough security no one will dare to do such things but scrolling through other reviews I realised that I'm not the first victim. I regret going to that zara. This is my worst experience I swear. Please be careful when...
Read moreThe store is pretty inside...congratulations. However, as someone that has worked for luxury designers for a considerable part of my career, I can't for the life of me understand the attitudes of the staff in this store. They treat you as if you are trash on their shoe and seem massively inconvenienced by customers presence. I'm english but I speak Spanish, so this is not a language barrier, this is a customer service issue. I know, for example, when I walk into Gucci or Armani, or any designer store, the staff are very adept at visually assessing whether I will be a 'big sale' or not, but I will be treated with curtesy and warmly welcomed regardless. At Zara, Gran Via, to the sales assistants, you are not even 'only tolerated' you are made to feel like an inconvenience. One visit, we were the only people waiting for the lift, and when it arrived, a sales assistant pushed passed us with a cart and took the lift. Like....???? There is a real need for customer service training in the store. I accept it's in a prime tourist spot and busy, but it's not an excuse. If you want me to pay those prices for that quality and service, you can...
