Love this brand ! I have bought so many things from this brand for myself gifts etc .. always recommended to my friends and family but that was back in NY and NJ. Then I came to Gran Vía in Madrid .. i mean i understand customer service is a little different here in Spain but this was by far the worst. We went in and right at the door before I even went in had the employee at the front look at my friends and I up and down and said oh no no drinks in here period then returned to talk to his colleague, it was tea and I’m an adult I would never spill nor touch anything but I understood. Went to Zara bought few things and came back with no drink. Nobody was nice at this location they looked like they hated their jobs and people in there think they’re working for Gucci or Prada or even LV. My friend told me to not buy anything there because of how awful treatment was.. so I decided to just leave empty handed and spent my money elsewhere, I will write a letter to corporate as I think proper customer service etiquette is much needed here as this is not Inditex and should follow standards of other Uniqlo franchises. Employees here should get proper training as this is not maximizing revenue (I been a manager, assistant manager at retail) you’re competing with competitive prices and Uniqlos clothes are well made and beautiful but some of the employees...
Read moreDuring my visit, I encountered a situation where a garment on a hanger had another item concealed within a storage bag. The difficulty in detaching them led me to believe they were a set. Unfortunately, I unintentionally exited the store with both items, triggering the anti-theft alarm and prompting security personnel to approach us.
The security personnel's behavior was shockingly disrespectful and non-receptive to any explanation we attempted to provide. Their actions, coupled with derogatory remarks directed towards Asians, left a lasting negative impact. Despite a patient female cashier explaining the common occurrence of such incidents, the male security personnel insisted on detaining us.
This ordeal raises concerns about potential discrimination and infringement on personal freedom. While the cashier ultimately resolved the issue, the arrogant attitude of the security personnel overshadowed any positive aspects of the store, regardless of its luxurious setting and diverse product range.
It is my sincere hope that Uniqlo takes immediate action to address the evident shortcomings in employee training. Customer loyalty is built on trust and positive experiences, and this incident has left me with a dismal impression of your brand. I believe it is crucial for Uniqlo to recognize and rectify such issues to ensure a welcoming environment for...
Read moreThe Uniqlo store on Madrid's bustling Gran Vía is a popular destination for a reason. While the selection is great, it's an experience that requires some preparation due to its popularity. On the positive side, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Despite the constant flow of people, they remain patient and ready to assist with any questions or help you find sizes. Their excellent service is a major highlight and makes the shopping experience much better. However, a major point to be aware of is that the store is always super crowded. It's a bustling and often overwhelming environment, with lines for the fitting rooms and checkouts that can be quite long. Navigating the store itself can be a challenge due to the sheer number of people. Because of this, my main piece of advice is to come with plenty of time. Don't expect to just run in and out. The crowds are a reality, and you'll need to be patient to get the most out of your visit. It’s worth it for the great clothes and service, but be prepared for...
