There are a lot of places in Spain, especially Madrid, that look delicious but then turn out to be flavorless with mundane food. I thought this place might follow suit with its large menu and scrumptious looking entrees. However, I was wrong, and I am glad to have to admit it.
The service is quick and the staff is friendly. They have table service to an extent. To order you have to order at the bar, everything else happens at your table. Some of the staff speak Spanish and English. The seating area inside and outside are both comfortable and provide a relaxing atmosphere.
The food is honestly were it’s at. When we arrived we were starving. Therefore, we ordered our two chicken sandwiches (they come with fries, btw) and the nacho platter. The sandwiches were great. It seems that all their chicken sandwiches are fried/crispy, just fyi. The nacho platter was quite large, smothered in goodness, and very tasty. The entire meal was one for the books. Additionally, if you like spicy, they have a spicy sauce for your tastebuds.
Overall, this was a great find! We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a great lunch place that’s delicious, relatively cheap, and quick, look to this...
Read moreI've been to this place about 4 times and today is definitely the last! I got a delivery order. They advertised a chicken breast sandwich (Le Coq sandwich) and gave me a dry thigh that had no flavor. I purposefully picked this one because I prefer the breast meat and the other sandwiches were made with thighs. If you're in the chicken business and don't know the difference between a breast and a thigh, we have a problem...Even more so if there's no salt. I don't understand the point of using top line ingredients like nice cheddar cheese, bacon and brioche buns if you 1) won't bother to salt the chicken and 2) aren't careful enough with the preparation to make sure there isn't plastic in the food. Yes plastic was fried into the chicken batter. (See...
Read moreTerrible Service, We asked a take away meal and they served us the orders of a whole chicken in a paper bag, no presentation and obviously making a huge mess to eat them at an office. Not only that, they couldn't find Cuttlery, and expected us to have cuttlery on our own(or eat it like a caveman??). We had to pressure the waiter and demanded to have some, which he later did. Overall, it was a terrible experience, the waiter was all over the place (granted, he might needed an extra help, which is not the waiters fault entirely, perhaps more training would have gone a long way) the chicken was given in a paper bag, and no cuttlery.
Side note: why is take away more expensive than eating there??
You´ll find me eating Chicken at la Garriga (next...
