Malpica — Restaurant in Madrid

The more time I spend going to places like this, the more I realize ambiance matters to me more than almost anything else on a restaurant experience. Malpica excels at a very specific kind of vibe that I love. It is cozy, it is rustic, it is very very beautiful and organized.

We went here once for my friend's birthday and the food was amazing, it seemed to be a very busy night but the ambiance was so good that it didn't matter. We shared great laughs and amazing drinks for hours.

I also really wanna highlight the service. The various times I've been here I've been treated with such kindness that is hard to find on restaurants that can get this busy. The waitresses here have been so kind which only makes me want to go back time...

Horrifyingly bad customer service and tasteless food. Go to this place, if your grandmother wasn't a good cook and you miss her food. This is definitely NOT a go to place, if you want a good / ok price-quality ratio as menu costs 19,9€ and is sure to disappoint you. I am truly sorry we didn't stop to consider the name of the place before entering as just like someone else already pointed out - it means bad bite. The name applies to both the food as well as the rude waiters. The only good thing that came out of our visit to this establishment was the fact that we ended up visiting a good Mexican...

this place is cute but a bit odd! the tortilla and olives they brought us after we ordered drinks were the best thing we ate. 🙃 the eggplant dish was some of the weirdest food i have ever been served in my life; it was incomprehensible by any standard. the menu said “with parmesan and a honey glaze,” but imagine fried, unseasoned slices of eggplant covered in melted, rubbery, flavorless mystery cheese (not parm!) with a squirt of store-bought honey mustard on top. i’m not sure what is going on with these reviews! the atmosphere is fun and the staff are lovely, but the food? bless them; they...
