Prada a Tope in Madrid is an absolute treasure where the atmosphere is nothing short of magical. The moment you walk in, you’re enveloped in warmth, laughter, and the kind of energy that instantly makes you feel like part of the family. Nowhere else have I ever made friends so quickly—special shoutout to Dany from Alma de Mexico, who turned an amazing night into an unforgettable one.

The people are fantastic, the drinks flow effortlessly, and the charm of the place is irresistible. Prada a Tope isn’t just a bar; it’s a vibrant gathering spot where great conversations and even greater memories are born. A true gem in the...

Food was good old fashioned Spanish food typical during the winter months. This means it was heavy, meant for being out in the cold. The menu had a bit of about anything you can think of within the Spanish cuisine. The wine suggested by the waiter, from their own cellars, was excellent and could be bought by the glass at an affordable price. The morcilla and the chestnut flan were really, really, good! Be sure to reserve a table. We called in for an early lunch, same day reservation, and though packed, the person in charge was very nice and reserved us a table (warning us unfortunately it came with time...

I visited Prada a Tope with my family for a lunch. The experience was mixed. Some foods we ordered were very good (esp. the soup and beef), but the others were too salty/spiced. We had better Spanish food in other places. The waiter was great - very friendly and open - we were able to communicate despite he didn't know much English. The only thing which went wrong, was the final payment - despite I asked him to charge my card in EUR, he selected the local currency of my card - and as many payment provides are using very bad exchange rates that increased the, not so low bill...

The inside of this place resembles its staff, warm and inviting. Made reservations for an early dinner before seven pm. The bar was busy but the seating area was not. Staff took time to talk to us about what type of food experience we were looking for. Not what we wanted to eat, but what we wanted to experience. As the seating area continued to fill to capacity the staff still returned periodically to check on us. The food was all really good, prepared by experienced hands.

So this place originates in northern Spain and this is the Madrid location. The service was outstanding. Just right and courteous. The food was excellent. We ordered cecinas which is the beef version of jamón serrano. It was really good. We also had open face sandwiches with pork and morcilla 'blood sausage' and a pork empanada. Everything tasted great. Their prices are mid range. Depends on how much you drink. Definitely recommend it.
