Charming little Korean gem at Mostenses Market
Puri is one of the most enchanting, intimate spots I’ve found in Madrid. Tucked just outside Mostenses Market, it’s a tiny space that feels like a slice of Korea, right in the heart of the city .
The layout is perfect for two, tables for couples,or joined into fours, definitely no room for big groups. It’s cozy to the point where you might end up sharing space with your neighbors, and that gives it a friendly, communal vibe.
What I love most is their focused menu, short but solid. You won’t be overwhelmed with choices, and everything feels carefully crafted. Definitely book ahead because with so few tables, it fills up quickly .
The beverage selection is a highlight, don’t miss the custom handmade Korean drinks. We had one refreshing house-made citrus rice drink and also the pear soda, which was outstanding.
We shared a meat dish served with fresh lettuce so you can build your own wraps, fun and delicious. On our next visit, we’re excited to try their DIY noodle bowl, where they give you gloves to mix it yourself.
Local Korean friends say that Pury is their favorite Korean spot in Madrid, saying it feels truly authentic .
In short, PURY is a must-visit if you want a genuine, cozy taste of Korean cuisine. Small space, narrow menu, but big on flavor and atmosphere,...

I received an email saying that the Restaurant still needs to confirm the reservation and that my reservation was still pending. A few hours later, during lunch time, I had yet not received any news. Thus, I called the restaurant (using the phone number they provide online) and I got no answer at all. I called repeatedly, since I saw that the retaurant kept posting content in instagram during all morning, and no one was picking up the phone when I called. At about 20:30h I tried calling again a few times, and nothing. Then I sent them a message via ig, and nothing… It was a lunch I had with a Korean guest and I wanted to surprise him. So at the end I had to book somewhere else. I got an automatic email at midnight with the confirmation, more than 12 hours later! When they start taking more seriously the booking process or they actually pick up the phone when people call I guess I could be able to actually check the food they make. I came to Madrid from a far distance, so I couldn’t afford to arrive unannounced and risk not having a...
Read moreThis authentic Korean restaurant specializes in pork feet (jokbal), available in both original and Korean sweet chili sauce flavors, as well as the classic Korean Bossam (boiled pork). Located near the entrance of a traditional market, the interior has a simple, rustic charm. The owner was very welcoming and explained how to enjoy each dish.
We ordered the Menu JOK+BO (M), Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancake), and Kimchi Bokumbab. All the dishes were delicious and authentically Korean, especially the poached pork, which had no strong porky flavor and wasn’t greasy at all—easily the best I’ve had in any Korean restaurant in Madrid. The kimchi pancake was also the most authentic I’ve tried, without being overly oily. Including drinks, the total came to 64 EUR, which was very reasonable given the quantity of food.
This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine. Though it’s only been open for about a month, it’s already quite popular, and reservations are recommended—I saw several groups turned away today. The only downside is that, since the restaurant is small and located within the market, it doesn’t have its own restroom. I’m excited to try the original Korean pork knuckle on...
