Not been to a place like this before and as a first experience for tacos I was pretty satisfied. Small place but managed to get a table quickly on a Sunday night. Service was busy but didn't take longer they were polite and actually spoke in English and offered an English menu if I wanted. I tried quite a few things from the menu but my favourites were the carnita gringa and the taco cochinita. On the flip side didn't like at all the taco nopalito, which is cactus from what I was told. Maybe it's an acquired taste but it came across as a very strong taste, like eating blue cheese for the first time. The margarita guayaba was exquisite - would be drinking much more of the other flavours too if I could! Centrally located and easy to reach, I think it's a good place to grab a bite.

If you’re craving authentic Mexican flavors that dance on your taste buds, look no further than El Rey de los tacos . What truly sets El Rey de los tacos apart is their commitment to quality. Every ingredient feels fresh and thoughtfully sourced, and it shows in every bite. The tortillas 🇲🇽🇲🇽are soft and pillowy, the meats perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, and the toppings add just the right amount of crunch and zest. But it’s not just the food that makes this place special; it’s the atmosphere too. The cozy yet vibrant ambiance makes you feel right at home, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on your lunch break or settling in for a leisurely dinner with friends . 🌮🌮🌮

This was my first dinner in Madrid and decided to come here for some tacos as we have seen the amazing reviews online and it was close to our hotel. We were delighted with the experience, the food was incredible, super fresh and flavourful. We got 2 sharing plates to try all the different tacos they make and we were not disappointed. The variety was huge and they were all amazing. They have a huge range of margaritas too and they were all perfect. Moreover, our waiter Danilo was amazing, he explained us all the menu (food and drinks) and gave us suggestions. Will definitely come back during our stay here and if you are coming to Madrid you should come here for dinner.

The service was terrible. The waitress could hardly communicate, she was right next to me and I couldn’t hear the few words she was speaking. She didn’t greeted us nor asked us if we were ready to order…. The food was seriously bad. Worst Mexican food ever. The nachos smelled bad, like bad cheese. If you have never tried Mexican food you will find this place less than average. But when you know about Mexican food, you will feel coming to this restaurant is a very bad experience. But I guess this place is meant for the wave of tourists that visit Madrid. One visitor after another, if someone doesn’t like it, nobody cares, another tourist is right behind to try it.

Casual place with rockin food. I ordered flautas based on someone else's recommendations - ate all of them myself. Highly recommend. The salsas they bring to the table were some of the best I've ever tasted. Guacamole is awesome. Everything tasted fresh, people were friendly, bathrooms were clean, had a nice casual atmosphere, was quiet with just a few other tables occupied when I went for weekday lunch. Table across from my ordered margaritas and said they were amazing although I didn't order one (probably should have). Highly recommend.

We came here for a late lunch and loved the whole experience!! I really like being able to order the tacos and quesadillas one by one. I got to try three different tacos and later ordered another of the one I enjoyed most. We got guacamole to share and it came with chips. While the food was good, I couldn’t stop thinking about the mojito!! Ordered it on a whim and it was the best. decision. ever!!! Note: No food pics, just video of the atmosphere.
