Summary: The food is so nice , the atmosphere is great. The service is really bad, the way we were treated was rude. A bit overpriced. They don't respect COViD rules (tables of 8 people inside)
Our experience: There a lot of very researched flavour that you wouldn't have tasted somewhere else. I put two stars because it's overpriced (ok because of the place) but the service is pretty bad (not ok for the place).
The waiters are really pushy the type that (it happened to us) ask 4 times in a row if you are done with a dish. We had to answer 4 times in a row (about 5 min between each time) that no, we were still enjoying our plate.
When we started ordering at the begining of dinner we said "yes we are going to start with this and then see" and the guy was like "nooo. I think you should order everything right now".
The waiter would come to your table every 5min to ask you if you wanted to order something else, if you were done with your dish that was clearly not done.
We asked a candle for the birthday and because they couldn't be arsed to wait they brought in at the table when my friend was at the bathroom. I told the waiter "you are bringing the candle when the bday girl is Away " and she was like "sorry I don't care". Then my friend went outside to take a call and it was 8.55pm so the waiter got stressed because we had to pay. We were like "we need our friend to come back she just went to take a call" the waiter actually went out with the paying device to charge her as she couldn't wait 2min or was afraid we were not going to pay.
In the end they kicked us out at 9pm with an entire bottle left because other guest "would come". They were like 7 table empty still. When we got out there was no one queing for the restaurant. We chatted 10min in front of the restaurant and then waited 10min for the taxi. At 9.20pm when we still saw no clients coming (desertic in front of the restaurant) I asked the girl at the entrance why they would kick us out if there was 7 empty tables and clearly no one waiting and she only told me "because they would come... At some point".... I told her it was not the nicest experience being kick out with still an entire bottle of wine and she would be like "whatever - you say what you want"....
The thing is the second time I came her. The first time we also really disliked the service and actually told the manager "we loved the food and the place but we are sorry to say that service was really bad because the waiter was so pushy". The manager thanked us for feedback and apologized. But clearly service is still the same and this time when we told them they were like "whatever we don't care". Clearly service is not up to food, place and price.
Additional note: they don't respect COViD rules. They had a table of 8 people inside in the same table (not separated by anything) - see...
Read moreTwo stars are only for the great friendly hostesses, show performers and interior, which were great. Food is average. Low rating due to the horrible management and their inappropriate attitude. I reserved Salvaje for my birthday to have a great time, but unfortunately my mood was ruined. Assistant manager started rushing us in the first 5 minutes since we got to the table , because apparently 1 hour 40 minutes won’t be enough to eat and drink. After we ordered for the table, restaurant manager, also started putting pressure on us that we have to order and eat now , because we won’t have time. At the end we were under the constant pressure and stress for no reason , that is especially not nice when you come to celebrate your birthday and informed them in the reservation comments. Manager dropped the bill without asking and we didn’t even have a time to order a cake. At the end we got the cake after some drama. Straight after that we were forced to pay urgently and after when we were starting getting ready to leave we were told “venga venga”. Although after completely ruining my celebration, at the very end the same manger apologised saying that it is better to book after 22 the table and there will be no rush. If it is the case why prices stay the same but treatment is so different. It is a shame that only because of two managers all experience is destroyed. Also to be mentioned it isn’t a cheap place to treat people like that, especially during the special occasions. It is a basic hospitality to know how to communicate with the guests and...
Read moreSo I was at the SLVJ restaurant and gave up on restaurants like TEN CON TEN, NOBU & MORE. So I'm allergic to milk and I called ahead to make sure I had options to choose from. By the way, this actually happened today. It's a bit funny that I'm writing a comment instead of being in the hospital because after the delays were confirmed, the waiters said that the dishes I requested could not be served without milk. So I didn't give up (I'm already there!) so I ordered other dishes. And they, the waiters, canceled on me because there was milk in there, and after I asked them to recommend dishes that didn't contain milk, one waiter pushed me to a certain dish (Krispy Rice, which I didn't want) and at the last second, the other waitress said that there was milk in it, after the waiter himself recommended to me after 2 of my choices that he rejected ! At this point, I involved the five that Day saved the matter and made sure that I would be able to finish the experience, at a certain point I really thought about getting up and leaving. I paid 181 euros for the "pleasure" at a time when such restaurants should provide service and not make me feel ostracized because of my allergy and because I spoke to the manager. The performance is excellent and the guy there moves between the tables in a...
