La Venganza De Malinche | Restaurante Mexicano | Sol — Restaurant in Madrid

After a very tiring day of work and exploring the city with friends, we randomly chose La Venganza de Malinche, a Mexican restaurant that turned out to be a memorable surprise. Our group shared the "rueda de 12 tacos," nachos, two jars of margaritas, and two mojitos. Each dish was flavourful and true to the vibrant spirit of Mexican cuisine. The highlight, however, was the trio of mariachis, who transformed the evening into an unforgettable experience filled with music and joy.

A special mention goes to Danny, whose recommendations enhanced our evening. His friendly and attentive service, coupled with his expertise in guiding us through the menu, added a personal touch that made all the difference.

While the food, vibe, and music were fantastic, the experience could be elevated even further with some minor tweaks.

We came on a happy hour Wednesday when beer was advertised for €1 and nachos for €5. When issuing the bill, it turned out that happy hours is (who would have expected!) just not for the beer we ordered, and the ordered nachos were also not covered by happy hours. There was no information on the sign which beer the promotion was referring to. The explanation of the situation was not made easier by the fact that the staff could not speak English at all. Beer and nachos were good, but the bad taste remained.

Edit: 30.06 After reply of the restaurant I researched too. As you can see on our bill, we were there on after 8p.m. on 23rd of August (it was Wednesday) and got the bill at 10.52p.m. Because the happy ours are from 8-10p.m. wednesdays, I am sure we were there...

Came here on the strength of the prior Google Reviews. We were not disappointed. Portions are enormous, which is generally par-for-the-course with Mexican cuisine. Remember to arrive hungry. I can vouch for the nachos and the chimichanga. Arrive early to ensure a table; we arrived just before 7 and by the time we’d eaten the place was packed. The young camarera speaks practically zero English so you’ll have to converse in Spanish or do a lot of menu pointing and gesticulating.
