This restaurant deserves zero stars. My husband and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. It was our first time in Spain and we just got off a flight. We sat down and within 5 minutes the waiter/maitre d came which was great. We ordered white wine and water since we had just eaten lunch elsewhere. However we were told we could only stay until 2pm because the “lunch crowd was coming “. Our impression was this was because we weren’t ordering an entree (ridiculous), especially since three men behind us only ordered soda and beer while playing cards. They weren’t given the same restrictions until 2 pm despite not ordering any entrees. We sat there for 2 hours waiting for any service. No one came by our table A SINGLE TIME to see if we wanted more wine or water or to pay our bill . Since our hotel was not ready we were happy to wait and observe the horrible service as many patrons around us came and went. Eventually when our hotel was ready my husband had to get up to pay the bill at which time he informed Carlos (? maitre d) about the poor service and he was given a disingenuous apology. Carlos and the waitresses passed our table multiple times. Also, he and both waitresses were rude to us. We will be sure to tell our physician colleagues and friends who travel the world frequently to not patronize this restaurant. Hoping the rest of our time in Spain is better. By the way we just came from Portugal and were treated wonderfully...
Read moreNot the greatest experience. We were part of a tour group and all had different forms of payment. I specifically asked our initial server to take separate orders instead of putting all orders on the same check, she said she was going to ask (She was completelt unattentive thereafter. We even got there prior to the rush.). This was not the case once it came time to pay our bill. They were extremely reluctant in allowing us to pay separately, stating they are not able to do that and they did not have the capacity to change it or create separate checks. They told us we all had to pay in cash, and some of us did not have that. Our server disappeared and it was another server telling us that. The manager finallly allowed us to pay separately and then told me that we had to "do the math" as far as total and tax because they didn't print the checks out for each order. We also no longer had the menu with us. I mean, all of it was an unnecessary hassle that could have been avoided. The group did enjoy their meals and drinks. However, I came here 2 years ago and I remember the service was not that great either..I remember we were rushed out because we had...
Read moreGroup of nine for brunch- I’ll focus on my partner and I’s experience but others at the table had their own issues.
Service was mostly polite but very disorganized- they kept bringing things we had not ordered and forgetting things we had ordered.
The kitchen seemed to be having substantial supply issues as well- they were out of several things and both of our meals were missing listed ingredients.
And it took at least ten minutes for them to realize that they were out of the meal that two people at our table had ordered- so our replacement choices arrived long after the rest of the table had their food.
The food in the end was.. fine. Nothing special, but enough to keep this from being a one star review.
And of course the first bill we were given had about 40 euros worth of things we had not received or were replaced. This was fixed, but it’s still not great that we knew even before we got the check that it was going to be substantially wrong.
Final note-the Brunch Burger is not a burger, but rather just a bacon and egg sandwich. Yes, I know in Spain that ‘burger’ can mean a lot of different things- but generally all of them involve a patty...
