Engaño con Nutella y una experiencia que no olvido (por las malas)

Si buscas tortitas decentes, huye de este lugar.

No sé ni por dónde empezar. Año Nuevo, Madrid, ganas de disfrutar de un postre, y la gran idea de pedir las famosas tortitas que este restaurante anuncia con tanto bombo y platillo en sus pantallas. Grave error.

La publicidad mostraba una imagen impecable: tortitas esponjosas, cubiertas generosamente con Nutella y fresas frescas. Un postre que cualquiera querría probar. Pero lo que llegó a la mesa fue un insulto a la vista y al paladar. • La realidad: Tortitas secas, planas y de una tristeza absoluta. • Nutella: ¿Nutella? Lo que había eran trazas, casi un rumor de Nutella. • Fresas: Dos trozos raquíticos, que más que acompañar al plato parecían pedir perdón por estar ahí.

Mi novia, ilusionada, se quedó chafada. Literalmente. Y no la culpo.

Cuando pedimos explicaciones, nos soltaron que las cantidades de los ingredientes dependen del criterio del cocinero. ¿Perdón? Entonces, ¿por qué publicitan algo que no tienen intención de cumplir? La guinda del pastel fue decirnos que no tenían más Nutella. Ni Nutella ni vergüenza, parece ser.

Esto no es solo una experiencia decepcionante, es publicidad engañosa, y aquí entra la ley.

Según el artículo 18 de la Ley General de Publicidad (Ley 34/1988) y el artículo 61 de la Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios (RDL 1/2007): La publicidad forma parte del contrato. Lo que anuncian debe corresponder con lo que sirven. Publicidad engañosa. Si la imagen publicitaria induce a error, están incumpliendo la ley. Compensación. El cliente tiene derecho a exigir que se le sirva el producto tal como se publicita, cambiarlo por otro o devolver el importe.

Lo que aquí han hecho no solo es un insulto al consumidor, sino una falta de respeto hacia sus propios clientes. Si no tienen más Nutella, que lo pongan en el menú. Si las imágenes son ilustrativas, que lo indiquen claramente. Pero no pueden seguir vendiendo expectativas falsas y salir impunes.

La experiencia nos arruinó la noche, y no es solo por las tortitas. Estamos hablando de Año Nuevo, en Madrid, en un restaurante VIP donde la atención debería ser impecable y el producto, aún mejor. Pero lo que nos encontramos fue falta de profesionalismo, cero respeto por el cliente y una pésima gestión.

Conclusión: Si quieres tortitas de verdad, este no es tu lugar. Si quieres evitar que te engañen con publicidad bonita y postres deprimentes, tampoco es tu lugar.

P.D.: La próxima vez, cuando quiera disfrutar de un buen postre, lo haré en un sitio donde respeten a sus...

Absolutely delicious experience at VIPS!

I ordered the Salmon Poke Bowl and the Smoked Salmon Toast with Crispy Onions, and both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The poke bowl had a perfect mix of salmon, mango, edamame, cherry tomatoes, red cabbage, avocado, seaweed, and rice — light but filling. The smoked salmon toast was rich and savory, with a delightful crunch from the crispy onions.

A special mention to the waitresses, who were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. They made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable with their warm attitude and quick service. We felt truly welcome and well taken care of.

The atmosphere was modern and cozy — a perfect spot for a relaxing lunch. Highly recommended!

The food and price are great :) However, if a manner of a waiter named Diego could be improved. I would give 4 stars. I am sure that I ordered Agua sin gas but a waitress served me Agua con gas. When I told Diego that I did not order this, he talked back to me with quite a rude manner. He insisted that I ordered Agua con gas. The thing is I don’t drink soft drinks and I don’t like anything with gas because of my stomach problem. In the end, he brought a bottle of Agua sin gas for me but he left the bottle and glass of Agua con gas on my table despite he knew that I wouldn’t drink it. I wonder if this guy would treat me better if I am not an Asian tourist. However, the rest of the staffs are...
