Went there with the family after a long morning at El Corte Englais. The ambiance was very very nice and the menu was amazing especially the dim sum. Not wanting to miss on any section, we ordered dim sum with scallops and they were very very good. We also ordered a mushroom vegetable dish and I also had a hot and sour soup. For mains we ordered, duck with aubergine, chicken ramen, sea bass with ginger, sweet and sour shrimp and I had chicken Kung pao. The food quality was excellent and the cooking was good. The problem is that it had very weak flavor. The ramen had soggy chicken that was first deep fried but not crisped enough to withstand the ramen broth, the fish with ginger had no sense of ginger, the sweet and sour shrimp was OK, the suck with aubergines had slightly overcooked duck but the chicken Kung pao was bland and not spicy at all. The hot and sour soup has a nice hint of sourness but no heat. Plus the service brought one main then we had to wait 15 minutes doe the rest of the plates to arrive. Staff were super busy and yet they were friendly and attentive. Now I have to be honest the food was very good in terms of quality but it totally lacked spice as if they tried to over sophisticate Chinese food to the extent it lost its identity. When I go to eat Kung pao, I expect to sweat from the heat. But this was not the case here. One good thing is that we did not leave feeling bloated which I hope means they do not use MSG. But still even without MSG, the food can taste much better. Plus I found it on the expensive side. If I ever go again, I will feast on dim sum, but make sure they have more dipping sauces to enjoy the...
Read moreGood evening! I would very much like to draw the attention of the regional regulatory authorities to the problem of compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation in this establishment. On August 13, 2024, my family and I had lunch at this restaurant. Some time after we started eating, we noticed a cockroach on our table (photos attached). We reported this to the waiter. The waitress began to hastily wipe our table with a rag in an attempt to remove the cockroach. After all this, and, of course, spoiled appetite and mood, we got up and went to the counter where payment is made. The waitress, after talking with the manager, despite the incident, brought me the bill. To which I said that I would not pay and did not need another table. Then the surprised manager appeared and was very disappointed that I refused to pay for the order. I did not receive any apologies or any explanations about what happened. I think that the establishment should be immediately closed for proper disinfection. And the management should be more attentive to customers, as well as to the cleanliness of...
Read moreService was mediocre at best, waitress was lost and brought us food from other tables 3 separate times. Waitress ignored us twice, as well as didn’t bring a dish, probably for the best.
We ordered the duck and fois gras dumpling, the shell was still raw in some parts while the fois gras was over cooked in some areas.
For mains we had seafood and chicken ramen, it was no better than Mr. Noodle. The noodles tasted like they were out of a .99 cent package, the amount of chicken was laughable and also was over cooked. Broth for the seafood ramen tasted very artificial, chicken was better but nothing even close to a proper ramen restaurant. The marinated egg was pretty good.
The experience could be summarized as over priced mall food, it’s a shame to waste money here when you can go down to the pier and have a much better food for...
