El Rinconcito del Norte — Restaurant in Palma

Food was OK. The Reviews seem vastly exaggerated, as the food was not exceptional at all.

One thing we think noteworthy is that we were told the restaurant was „booked out“ and that only the three front seats were available - the rest of the restaurant remained absolutely empty until 20:30. At this point, locals were told that they could just go through to grab a seat. So, the restaurant was NOT fully booked as stated and the „grab one of the front seats as the rest is booked out“ was obviously a hoax to pull in visitors - which, by itself, is fine by me.

However, the meat that I ordered was so terribly sinewy that I had to discard half of my steak, as documented in the picture. Also, those front seats were absolutely SOAKED in smoke that came out of the kitchen once the venue filled. Our clothes reeked of the restaurant afterwards.

All in all, the experience was OK, but definitely not worth the 4,9 stars. Plus, if you arrive early and have to take one of the three seats in the front, you pay with reeking clothes on top of...

An absolute gem of a little restaurant. As we were walking in a diner was just leaving and said to us with a huge grin on his face “the food is amazing”. We were in for a treat….

Room for perhaps 18 covers at most. Man in the kitchen, adorable woman out front. I think they may be betrothed but one doesn’t want to presume. Given size and popularity you must book. They have a WhatsApp contact on their website which you can use to reserve.

The food was simple but it was cooked with love and respect for the product. And you cannot go wrong with that combination especially when Spanish gastronomy is all about the quality of the ingredients. The entrecôte steak in particular was fabulous and would not look out of place at a Peter Luger, Hawksmoor or Guinea Grill. And at 36euro with sides on the platter, is quite frankly criminally cheap.

Came here because of the great reviews. Was definitely the most disappointing place we visited on our trip to Majorca. Only time we've ever been made to feel guilty that we didn't speak much spanish.

Ordered 'Broken eggs with pork and chips' from the 'Broken eggs' menu but came with no eggs... The owner offered to get some to put on top, but it didn't make any sense for the dish that came.

Rated it 2 stars because my partner's burger was quite good, actually. Luckily, she was happy to share.

We both ordered Sangria, mine was almost full to the brim with ice and fruit. Luckily, my partner was happy to share hers (which was nice) again, but unfortunately, there were flies in it, so we just left it. It was taken off of the bill.

The owner did ask if we wanted some shots but we just wanted to leave.
