A beautiful rooftop overlooking Palma. Music is not too loud and the speakers are stationed underneath the tables - something we really enjoyed so it’s not pounding in your ears. We had made a reservation so we had no issue when we arrived, though it wasn’t too busy and I think you could have gone this day (Monday night) without a reservation. We shared some drinks and dishes. We waited for our drinks a bit longer than we expected to (close to 30 minutes), but this didn’t bother us much as we were enjoying us. The only downside seemed that one of the drinks likely had sat at the bar for a bit since it was served warm. Again, not a big deal. We shared two tapas to start: bravas: absolutely wonderful flavor. A great level of spiciness and the aioli was amazing. Only downside was wanting more!! calamari: very well fried and cooked to perfection, the aioli again was delicious and with a touch of lemon juice, the flavors were well complimented!
For dinner: chicken Caesar salad: this was served in a nice large portion but had too much dressing for my liking. The chicken didn’t appear to be super fresh, was likely frozen and then baked in the oven rather than grilled. I opted to not eat the chicken in this case. tuna tartare: not the best, and didn’t follow expectations of typical tuna tartare. It was more bland and the tuna was a bit warm when normally we’ve had it served fresh and cool
Dessert: milhojas: we enjoyed this plate! Simple and easy.
Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here. The service was lovely and the staff checked in on us periodically. They were super apologetic for the delay in the drinks and made sure we had everything from there in a timely fashion, and we did! At the end, they were kind enough to treat us to the mocktail Aperol spritz to compensate for the delay. It was a nice surprise. We hope to have the opportunity to...
Read moreWe decided to meet friends for lunch here and not give card details because the no show fee was 100 euros and we’re not sure of our plans for the day.. with it being the beginning of the season we would chance it and turn up. We arrived after a long drive from the west coast .. pleasant welcome, nothing really to see in the lobby as it was small and quite simple looking. I explained that we were planning to have lunch with some friends on the rooftop. I was told from the receptionist that they would check availability so we sat on the tiniest couch on the lobby to wait. After some time The receptionist came back and said that they were full and they could not accommodate us. This was a total shocker as we knew the rooftop bar was empty with just a few people.. Following the lies and dishonesty we went to another rooftop with exceptional service and lovely staff that were willing to go above and beyond to make the paying customer happy…We had a lovely lunch overlooking the sea …and our afternoon couldn’t have been more perfect. We were so glad we didn’t spend our money here. Es Princep really needs to review its honesty policy and customer service skills… as they clearly have...
Read moreWe’ve been regulars at the stunning rooftop of Es Princep, and it has always been a delightful experience. Living in the neighborhood, we often end our daily walks with a relaxing drink there. It’s been a cherished routine—until yesterday.
After our usual warm greeting to the receptionist, things took an unexpected turn. We were abruptly stopped and, in a tone far from friendly, told we couldn’t go upstairs because it was “full.” Odd, considering the abundance of empty tables we could clearly see through the glass. When we politely pointed this out, the receptionist mumbled something in Mallorquín over the phone (a language we unfortunately don’t speak) and then repeated, rather curtly, that there were no available tables.
The whole exchange felt cold and dismissive. Our lasting impression? Perhaps we didn’t meet some unspoken “five-star” dress code. Whatever the reason, it was an uncharacteristically poor way to treat loyal patrons. We left feeling unwelcome and deeply disappointed.
Es Princep, we hope this was just a misunderstanding, as we’d hate for such an exceptional venue to...
