A Disappointing and Overpriced Experience We visited Anima Beach in Palma and unfortunately had a terrible experience. Drinks: We ordered two sangrias, one white and one red. Unfortunately, both were incredibly watered down and tasted like plain water. This completely ruined our fond memories of the delicious sangria we'd had in Barcelona for a much lower price. I wish they hadn't even offered sangria on the menu. Food: The Margherita pizza we ordered for our daughter was also disappointing. The tomato sauce was poor quality and the cheese was tasteless. I learned for the first time that there are olives on a Margherita pizza! My daughter only ate one small slice, and I didn't enjoy it either. Prices: The prices were exorbitant and did not match the quality of the food or drinks. Positives: The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a beautiful view. The music also created a nice atmosphere. Conclusion: Based on my experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If I return to this area, I would prefer to sit by the beach and enjoy the view with a drink I bought from a supermarket. Suggestion for Management: Please focus much more on improving...
Read moreThis place is trying to be so much better than what it actually is. We had to stand in a queue to even be let in, by a security guard who took us to a plastic bar table with plastic stools..no option to sit on the sun loungers or with a view out to sea unless you paid more. We had to find the drinks menu from the bar by ourselves as nobody was there to help, and when we chose our drinks I was standing at the bar for about 15 minutes (nobody else waiting) whilst the barman laughed around with security and kept walking away. Eventually when I got the drinks I was charged more than the prices on the menu - not the end of the world but I can imagine if you are getting lots of food/drink the bill would add up. The worst part was that my partners beer was served in a white plastic cup, something a child would drink from, and the cup was dirty inside and out. Wouldn't go here again and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even on a hot day just walk an extra 5 minutes to find a much nicer cafe in town. If this place wants to charge extortionate prices for things then it definitely needs to improve cleanliness and the staff attitudes need to...
Read moreThe location provides a nice view and a nice surrounding (thats the one star we gave).
If you are a fan surprises the location is perfect for you. If you are a fan of clean and high quality products don’t go there. We ordered 2 Pina Colada’s. The drinks arrived with living ants (that’s the surprising part). We then returned the drinks to the staff and just got it back looking worse with even more ants on and in it (as provided on the picture). After returning and complaining for the second time we were offered to change our drinks, because the pineapple wasn’t tasty anymore. As we did this our drinks arrived insect- free. Unfortunately there was neither a whole heartedly apology nor a refund offered. Instead we also had to complain about the check at the end because the wrong (and more expensive) drinks were about to be charged.
The whole experience at this location did absolutely not go with our standards and understanding of customer service. If a location tries to be high end the quality of goods must fit the prices.
Our advice: just run (stay away)...
