Joy Palace — Restaurant in Palma

We had such a great experience at the pool bar, and that was all thanks to KARLA, the bartender. She really did the best job — super friendly, always with a smile, and her cocktails were absolutely amazing. Everything just felt perfect when she was there, she made sure everything ran smoothly and we felt so well taken care of.

When she went on her (well-deserved!) lunch break, another staff member took over. You could see she was trying, but she was nowhere near as friendly, and things got a bit chaotic. We had to wait over an hour for our food — though to be fair, when it finally arrived, it was very delicious.

We were so happy when Karla came back — we immediately felt that everything was back to top-notch service again.

I’ve been coming to Joy Palace every year when I visit Mallorca from South Africa, it used to be one of the highlights of my trip. I always looked forward to seeing familiar faces and enjoying the same great food and atmosphere.

Unfortunately, this time was different. Most of the staff seemed inexperienced and unsure of what was going on. Some of the people I’ve known for years are no longer there, and even the food didn’t taste the same. It just felt like something special was missing.

Schönes Restaurant, aber leider sehr schlechter Service. Am Eingang wurden wir von den Security Mitarbeiter schon abgewiesen, da angeblich kein Tisch mehr frei wäre. Nachdem wir ihm 5 min auf englisch versucht haben mitzuteilen, dass zwei Tische frei sind durften wir Platz nehmen. Der schlechte Service ging danach leider weiter, nach 45 min wurde unsere Getränke Bestellung erst aufgenommen. Nachdem wir unsere Getränke hatten, freuten wir uns auf das Fußballspiel Schweiz gegen Deutschland. Leider wurde während dem Spiel mehrfach in den Einstellungen des Tv rumgespielt und das Netzwerk gewechselt obwohl alles super lief. Als wir das vermeintlich 1:0 für Deutschland kurz bejubelt hatten, was wir auf dem Handy gesehen hatten, wurden wir sofort ermahnt leiser zu sein. Die versuchten Arbeiten an den Einstellungen haben wir uns 30 min angeschaut und mussten feststellen, dass der Chef es immer noch nicht hinbekommen hat, das richtige WLAN Passwort einzugeben, auch nicht mit dem Telefonjoker. Für uns war es, wie gesagt, nicht ersichtlich warum er dies gemacht hat. Wenn ich mit der Übertragung des Fußballspiels werbe, darf sowas...
