Levita Cafe — Restaurant in Palma

Weirdest thing. We went in with the family for a late lunch. Waitress knocks over an icetea from her tray and blames my 6 year old daughter who was minding nothing but her own business. Instead of apologising to my wife, whom she nearly hit with the bottle and checking whether there was anything spilt on her, she starts telling me to ‘respect her’ while I was only trying to clarify whether indeed she thought my daughter did something. Other waitress tries to keep the peace and as things settle down the first one marches off and calls me names! Can you imagine? Anyone who has ever worked in hospitality (and I have quite a bit) knows to accept and apologise and not to agitate guests (yes, guests, not customers). Still flabbergasted. Worst part: my daughter was quite upset as she had no clue what she did wrong... Long story short: unless you want to get some abuse, don’t go there! Plenty of other places around

Just got the reply below. Great to see someone stands by their personnel. Too bad you didn’t ask how my little girl is doing (she’s ok by the way). Maybe however read your own reply. If you truly believe there are two sides to a story, then you could stop the lecture there. And to be crystal clear ‘useless’ never even entered my mind, let alone the conversation. Kinda tells you who’s story is closer...

Schade, das war leider nichts.

Seit einem Jahr wohnen wir hier und gehen mehrmals die Woche zum Essen. Das Levita war eine der wenigen schlechten Erfahrungen.

Das Lokal hat eine gute Lage, ist wirklich schön eingerichtet und der Service war sehr freundlich. Soweit das Positive.

Weshalb wir nicht mehr ins Levita gehen werden: Die Vorspeise kam erst mit der Hauptspeise und das Essen war einfach nichts, bzw. schlecht. Das Crispy Chicken beispielsweise war komplett durchnässt und weit weg von knusprig, die Aioli sicher die schlechteste, die wir hier bekommen haben (aus der Supermarkt-Dose?) und das Brot komplett vertrocknet und schon vor Stunden aufgeschnitten. Insgesamt war alles einfach fad.

Mein Sohn brachte es auf den Punkt als er sagte, „Die bräuchten nur noch nen guten Koch.“

Eigentlich wäre das bezogen auf das Essen eine glasklare 1-Sterne-Bewertung. Da der Service aber sehr freundlich war und das Lokal schön ist, gibt es 3 Sterne. Für einen Café an der Playa ist es eventuell eine Option.

Es ist egal, wie nahe das Brot herkommt. Wenn es Stunden zuvor aufgeschnitten wird, ist es einfach trocken. Es war trocken! Beide Portionen! Eure Abläufe im Lokal sind falsch. Auch, dass die Vorspeise (!) erst zum Hauptgang kommt. Und das, obwohl viel Personal da war und nur wenige Gäste.

Und wenn das Euer Aioli ist, dann solltet ihr mal das echte mallorquinische Aioli Eurer Kollegen versuchen … und dann Euren Koch wechseln.

Auch muss ich nicht in der Gastronomie arbeiten, um schlechtes Essen zu beurteilen. Das ist anmaßend von Euch! Kluge Unternehmer wissen das und antworten anders!

Es gibt auf Mallorca sooooo viele hervorragende Lokale, da ärgere ich mich mit Euch nicht weiters herum. Aufgrund der Antwort des Lokals nun also doch...
