Mosaic Café — Restaurant in Palma

The place is nicely decorated and quite cool, but the server was exceptionally miserable and unhelpful and spoiled the whole experience. The coffee wasn't great either unfortunately. Shame as this place has a lot of potential.

Edit: In response to your response. I'm sad to hear that you have some personal problems going on, but a professional is able to operate at a high level even when they have personal issues. In fact, being nice to people is a good remedy for sadness as you get good vibes back rather than being miserable. Of course I'm going to judge a place on my first visit. If it's bad then I'm not going to go back because there are many good places in Palma. I had no issue with moving table (even though the place was not full then I assumed it might fill up although you might have explained that to be more polite rather than just telling me to move), it was the way that you said it and interacted in general with me and other customers which was far from professional. I'd only taken that table because someone was smoking next to the other table when I arrived which is not very pleasant when you have two young children with you.

If you can't be professional and friendly then you shouldn't open the cafe and spend some time looking after yourself as you are doing nobody a favour by being rude. I hope you resolve...

We were staying right next to this cafe so one morning we went on to sit there for our coffee and breakfast exactly at 09:05 (5 minutes after the opening hour). It was raining heavily and the woman of the cafe was doing some finishing touches on the tables. She informed us that she will be ready in 2 minutes so we replied "no worries we are more than happy to wait". Then we received the answer behind the 1 star review which was NOT to hang around because we might attract other people. She chose to leave us in the rain and come back in 5 minutes which was completely unthinkable. For the record the food was really good, the environment the same but having a cafe is about being hospital and understanding especially when we did not expect to be served immediatly or anything. We just wanted to feel welcomed.

I was early to check in to the nearby apartments, and this place being right outside looked so lovely, I decided to stop here a while. There was a good number sat for lunch, mostly looking like locals, so it looked like the place to be. I chose a smoothie and a pizza. I cannot remember the name of the pizza but when it was brought out to me I literally said “wow” as it looked amazing. It had a focaccia bread base which I’ve never had for a pizza and it was honestly amazing. So delicious. There was a few cool seating options too. Like hanging seats.
