Oh Mallork Bar De Tapas — Restaurant in Palma

I went to this restaurant because of all the high reviews but this was some of the most mediocre Spanish food I have had in my two weeks in Spain. The calamari was average, the meatballs and fries tasted frozen, the fried sardines had no seasoning and the oxtail was a very small portion. the prices were decent and you get crackers in beginning of the meal witch were free unlike some reviews suggest, but I would never go out of my way to eat here if your starving and in the area it’s ok but there are many better places to eat. The owner was nice to us when we were there but I have a suspicion that a lot of the reviews are fake only trust the ones with pictures of people eating. To conclude I would not go out of my way for mediocre Spanish food. There’s much better places in the area to eat.

Edit: after the owner responded I still have to say that I was in Mallorca, Bilbao and madrid and I have been to Spain multiple times yet this is still the worst Spanish food I have ever had in Spain after we were done eating we went to McDonald’s because they have better food that this restaurant. And to prove that the reviews are fake they said the owner was nice read his reply to my review does he sound like a nice person? And the only reason we ordered another portion of sardines was because we did not eat all day and McDonald’s was a 15...

Hands down, the best food I had in Mallorca, and without a doubt the most delicious calamaris and anchovies I’ve ever tasted. After hiking up to the castle, my partner and I were starving and on the hunt for a spot nearby with authentic sangria and amazing tapas. We saw that this place was highly rated on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. The interior is simple, but as true foodies know – it’s all in the food then. We ended up coming back three times, and if they had been open on the weekend (our last days in Mallorca), we probably would’ve returned even more! Martin and the chef are the kindest people, and my heart lights up every time I think about them. They – and their incredible food – are one of the main reasons I’d return to Mallorca. The fish and meat are high quality, well-cleaned, properly seasoned, and everything is fresh! One day, I also tried the burger, made with veal, and it was so tender and flavorful. The white sangria was absolutely delicious too – made with good-quality wines(!) that created a real explosion of flavor on the tongue. On one day we both even drank 3 carafes cus it’s so good. Since we’ve been back in the Netherlands, we’ve thought about this place at least once a day. A true gem and a shining example for others. 10/10 Highly...

We came here because of the high rating, but I don’t feel that the place should be rated higher than 3 stars. The tapas is mediocre, we have tried 6 types of them; none of them had a real taste. Except of the tortilla, which was fresh and hot and delicious. It’s rather expensive for the quality. There are much better tapas bars in and around Palma.

Update: in response to the reply from owner; I hope you know that a Google review is always a subjective opinion of the person who gives it and you as a restaurant owner have to take the critics not just the 5 star reviews. I have eaten much better tapas and much worse, your is medicore. This is my opinion, except it or not.
