Sher E Punjab — Restaurant in Palma

I tried Indian food in the states twice in my life and figured it wasn’t for me. A friend took us here and we shared a bunch of different dishes and all of a sudden my world has just opened up to brand new flavors I didn’t know existed. Everything was so beautiful and tasted beautiful. I want to eat here every day. I’m not going to, of course, but I feel like a cartoon villian now as I want to know the magic of the flavors and make them mine and only MINE. I’m kidding. We all need to experience this. Jealous I didn’t invent these foods. I will always look back and think fondly of this place. Even now, as I sit on a bus, smiling like a lover and staring at nothing but memories. There is no doubt that the very uncomfortable elderly couple across from me thinks I’m staring at them. Probably thinking I am high on drugs. (More like high on this food, am I right?). That is until they recognize that gleam in my eyes accompanying the steadily widening grin, and they know that gleam as what it is. Passion. Delight. Nirvana. And with a nod and a smile of their own, I return a nod and in my mind, I just hope that they’ve eaten here. Have had that experience. I am sure they have. In my heart I know they have. They deserve it. Like a young man feeling the intimate and vibrant touch of an angel for the first time, a touch not only of the flesh but of the soul, this place will be forever unforgotten even after my mortal chariot withers and crumbles to dirt, and after gently floating my way into another life, I shall return here… home… again. We bought offer from groupon and they didn’t respect the offer. The offer we bought was including All from the menú, but they said we can’t order shrimps and lamb… also, the portions they served to us were half smaller compared to the other guests, which was also not said before you buy the Groupon offer… there were other couple who also had the same groupon and was told the same… Think it’s not profesional to sell one thing and than to serve another… The food was delicious, but the fact that you buy something and you expect what was explained when, they change it later and limit you the menu and also gives you half portions compared to the others… it leaves you disapointed… and of course, going to a place where they lie, it’s not recommended… I put 2 stars for the good taste of the food, but completely disapointed for selling something and later not...

A great Restaurant The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our orders were taken very quickly and drinks arrived quickly so we could have a relaxing drink whilst waiting for good to arrive.

Papadums were great very crispy accompanied by onion chutney, mango chutney and mint chutney I chose lamb jalfrezi as a main dish, which was very tender but I would have liked it spicier with fresh chillis, however it was still very flavoursome. I had a garlic Naan which was good.

I have found all over the island Naan breads tend not to be very fluffy here, maybe due to the type of flour used, but this Naan bread was tasty.
