Sibuya Urban Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Pamplona

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help other diners make informed choices. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of expectations for a sushi restaurant.

From the outside, this place has a really nice, cozy vibe that draws you in - but sadly, it’s just a shell. The attractive exterior and welcoming atmosphere are completely misleading about what you’ll actually get inside.

The portion sizes were shockingly small - the pieces looked more like they were sized for children than adults. What made it worse was that each piece was almost entirely rice with just a thin sliver of fish on top. For the prices charged, I expected much more substantial portions with a proper fish-to-rice ratio.

The presentation was equally concerning. The pieces were cut unevenly and looked quite messy on the plate, lacking the precision and artistry you’d expect from sushi preparation. It gave the impression that little care was taken in the kitchen.

Most troubling was that the sushi felt cold and had that stale taste that suggests it had been sitting out for too long rather than being freshly prepared. Freshness is absolutely critical for sushi, and this was a major red flag.

I really wanted to love this place based on first impressions, but between the tiny portions, poor presentation, and questionable freshness, I can’t recommend it. Don’t let the cozy exterior fool you like it did me - there are much better sushi options in the area that offer better value and...

Hostess was occupied with client. So we did take a seats at one of three empty tables. At that time there were 3 waiters hanging here and there.

One male waiter approached my wife and asked to leave the table and wait at the entry. However there were no signs of these tables being reserved.

We obeyed. Waited about 10-15 minutes, and hostess placed us literally at the same table we've been sitting before.

Needless to say that no menu was provided and no waiters approached to take an order next 10 minutes. So we left it, and most probably never visit this place again.

I have no objections to work of hostess who seemed to be a bit tired and very occupied. I object such pointless service from waiters. Better self-service than no-service! 🤌

Terrible food was extremely salty and used soya sauce like crazy.... as an Asian and used to live in Japan, this Japanese food is Sooooo bad..I had to add half bottle of water into the Udon otherwise it is not eatable at all. and the service was horrible also, the waiter brought wrong food to me in the begging, and then bring me udon first instead of Ebi fried (fried shrimps) finally I have to stop eating this ridiculous Udon and waited another 10 mins( asked them twice already) to get my Ebi fried :) do you think Ebi fried is dessert?? :) and why as a Japanese restaurant you offer Ebi fried with Thai style sweet source????
