Edit -Visited here again because it was excellent the last time we were here. Again the food was good and initially the service was good too. However, whilst sitting finishing our drinks we were hustled out so they could get a party of people in. That in itself was not an issue but it was done so rudely that it spoiled our evening. Some old fool in the party started shouting at me in Spanish then a young waiter told me to move before I could finish my beer. I hadn't even paid for our meal!!! No tip for the waiter on this basis .

In this place, wanting to offer generous portions, they end up putting too much filling in so ends up breaking the balance and you almost have to eat it out with a fork on its own which defeats the purpose, in that case you'd get an arepa. The seasoning of the shredded beef and chicken could be a bit stronger and leave the sauce to reduce more. I ended up having to tip my empanada upside down to get rid of the very watery, almost broth like sauce. The cahapa was excellent, but the fried pork should be pork belly rather than just pork loin cubes, which isn't bad but not like the ones you'd find in Venezuela. A place to have good straightforward Venezuelan food without...

Puerto de la Cruz have so many amazing restaurants and this is prob one of the best dish I’ve had (if not the best) and I’ve had lots of meals in Puerto de la Cruz incl some fancy ones. In terms of Arepa, it’s the best I’ve had. Keep it...
