This place was excellent. Unfortunately I only have a photo of the menu, because we were so hungry, we ate as soon as we got the food. However, it was one of the best meals I had in the area.
We ordered ½ Grilled Chicken and Grilled salmon, both were exceptional, and great. The príces were also very reasonable, as you can see on the photo I attached.
We also had some complimentary freshly baked bread as a starter, which was accompanied by a homemade sauce. This was exceptional, there is nothing better than a freshly baked roll! It was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. One of the best bread I ever had.
The Grilled Chicken was great, although if you wanted fries, you would have to order it, because fries are not included. The chicken was flavourful, although slightly burnt, it added a nice smoky flavour which I liked, and also gave the chicken a nice crunch. It was very juicy, perfectly seasoned, and overall a great Chicken. I wasn't expecting it to be this good, especially for the price and the size of the chicken. If you want a little more flavour, we also were provided with a slice of Lemon and salad.
In addition, the overall atmosphere was very calm and peaceful, great for eating.
Would definitely recommend this place for a good meal at a fair price.
TL;DR This place is good at a good price and one of the best chicken I ever had, but does not...
Read moreLast minute excursion to Puerto De La Cruz. All restaurant visits are planned and booked, so this last minute decision was apprehensive. A great decision with hindsight. Slightly old school, which we like. Open at 13.00hrs. No reservations & we were the 2nd couple. After ordering 3 more tables trickled in, very good sign.
Every dish is shared between 2. Ordered 3 scallops, &3 large prawns (€2.75 unit price) to start. Then had the local “Pescado de la Isla” (local fish which I identified in my fish book as Alfonsino i.e., red seabream). Absolutely fresh & lovely wt looooads of soften garlic cloves & coarse salt 🤤😋. Had the medium rare entrecote & sopresa (surprise) potato which were like triple cooked chips wt garlic & parsley…so good!
Don’t need any dessert but wanted something sweet to round things off…got the almond tart…perfect!
Very price worthy wine list. Most expensive is around €16! Had a full bottle white & half bottle red.
Only review places worth the effort of typing. This one IS…VERY good quality produce & EXTREMELY fantastic value food…how much can you eat & drink feeling mighty pleased after?! You can easily eat as great for less than half our €100...
Read moreUpdate 2024: While the Paella is still great, other dishes we tried not so much. We wanted to order french fries as a starter (because we love fries :D ) and where denied because „the chef won‘t allow it. There are other options for starters on our menu“. Two days before we had fries as starter without issues. My Tuna steak arrived more then well done (the waiter asked me when taking the order and I said I wanted medium). The fries, which we had as side dish where soggy. My gf had grilled veggies, which where underwelming. I‘m not sure if we will come back.
Old Review from 2 years ago (5 Stars): Probably the best Paella in Tenerife. We went there on a thursday night whithout reservation and were lucky to get a table for two. We enjoyed the paella de marisco, accompanied with the white wine we were recommended. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff was really nice too. 10/10 would recommend. We will...
