I was drawn to it having vegan options. I bought a hummus wrap to go and when I bit into it it was full of chicken. All for €4.99 which I thought was overpriced to begin with. Really not impressed
In reply to your message, as I'm not able to reply directly. Even if we don't agree, the condescending tone of your message reveals a great deal. I'm not quite sure what purpose you assuming I'm a new vegan serves but to be undermining which is so unnecessary.
Whether it is true or not, reviews of your website say you serve meat, vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered the 'hummus wrap with grilled vegetables' the only description given. I have had this option, for much cheaper I might add, many times before so it's not such an inconceivable menu choice- if you think so, it is in fact you that is revealing your limited view of vegan food- so I was not expecting any meat, real or substitute.
I would suggest you make that very clear on the menu. Most of all it's quite distressing as non meat eater (long term I might add) to bite into the wrap and discover this. I'm not sure in that moment what else I should have thought, but if nothing else I would expect as a minimum some understanding( given the lack of advertisement), as opposed to directly belittling what I was saying. This is awful...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, as I am passionate about eating delicious, nutritious food in an environment with a friendly atmosphere. From the outside, this place looks like it will fulfil all of these needs but I'm afraid it didn't for us.
We visited twice. First to get takeaway wraps. I was really looking forward to it, but mine was so loaded with raw onion I found it impossible to eat.
I still had high hopes that the bowls would be delicious and I thought I'd be able to request no raw onions, so we returned a few days later.
On our second visit, we asked the owner if she could open the door with wheelchair access so our friends with a pram could come in, and this seemed to be a big problem. My partner asked if there was a problem with us being there (not aggressively - just a genuine question), and let's just say the owner was pretty unfriendly. We had had a slightly milder version of this the day before with our own buggy, but chose to overlook it. So, I'm sorry - I can't tell you. if the bowls are any good, because we decided not to stay.
Who knows, maybe we just caught them in a stressful week and it's a lovely place.
We found that Machamama (slightly more off the main drag, but worth the walk) a thousand times more welcoming, and the food and smoothies...
Read moreAvoid. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had and dangerous for those with allergies!!
We arrived and ordered simple food without pleasant greeting or any greeting at all. I ordered drinks and food after waiting 20 minutes. The old lady was pretty rude who took order and forgot to put vegan on notepad even though I stated twice it was vegan option. ( Serious dairy allergy)
We then waited 45 minutes and decided to leave and find somewhere else. ( No drink or even water being offered)
They said it was ready as we were about to cancel order ( 55 minutes after ordering) we then waited another 5 minutes and the food arrived.
The chai oat latte was disgusting and I had to confirm it was made with oat milk.
Then the toasted sandwiches arrived. They were not vegan and luckily I noticed before I ate it. I returned it and stated I won't be paying for it as it could had been fatal.
The chips were cold and I didn't eat them.
The old woman then came over passively aggressively stating I was in the wrong when I returned it and made a scene in the middle of the cafe.
We left shortly after.
This was honestly the worst experience I have ever had. There are other restaurants, please don't make the mistake we did.
Terrible doesn't even cut it....
