Extremely Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend Blanco Bar

My visit to Blanco Bar in Puerto de la Cruz was deeply disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the bouncers were rude and unwelcoming – not a great first impression.

The drinks were poorly made, watered down, and tasted artificial. The dartboard was essentially unusable due to broken and damaged darts, showing a clear lack of maintenance and care.

What concerned me most, however, was the bar’s completely negligent approach to safety. If you want to step outside for a cigarette, you’re forced to leave your drink inside, unattended. Given how common drink spiking has become, this is simply unacceptable. To protect myself, I deliberately placed my drink within my line of sight. Despite this, staff repeatedly moved it into a dark corner with about 20 other glasses – completely out of view.

When I politely asked to keep my drink visible while I wasn’t holding it, the staff showed zero understanding. Also because I heard about spiking attacks in this bar, i wanted to be more than careful. Instead of addressing the concern, I was thrown out of the bar – allegedly for “smoking indoors,” which never happened. I had simply reached in with an outstretched arm to reposition my drink where I could see it.

This level of disrespect and disregard for customer safety is appalling. The behavior of the staff was not only unprofessional but downright hostile. I strongly advise avoiding this bar if you value your well-being, your drink, or even just a basic...

✅ What I Loved:

Live Music & DJs: Some nights they have amazing local bands or DJs. Reggaeton, Latin, pop – the vibe is 🔥.

Cocktails: Strong, stylish, and well-made. I tried their mojito and piña colada – both were 10/10.

Friendly staff – even on busy nights, they manage the crowd well and serve with a smile.

Outdoor seating available if you want to just enjoy a chilled drink with fresh air.

Good mix of locals and tourists, everyone dancing and enjoying.

Me and my brother were visiting Puerto De La Cruz and somehow we always ended up in this bar having an absolute blast. In our 8 day visit we did not even go to any other bar, only this one because we knew it could not be any better than this. The atmosphere was amazing for meeting new people, and we got new friends from all over the world because of this bar.
