Turkish Kebab Plaza Del Charco — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

We tried to get food here, we ordered one Falafel and one Dürum, both options which are on the menu and in pictures on the wall (we even pointed to what we wanted). There were 2 people behind the till, a woman and a man. The woman was trying to get the order and she said they could not do the falafel and asked if we wanted a mixed Dürum. We got a bit confused and were trying to figure out what she meant (as we could see they had falafels ready in the display window) while the man chimed in and started to raise his voice. At this point we were still trying to figure out what was happening, the woman spoke very little English so we thought it must be a language barrier. The man then proceeded to curse at us and become verbally aggressive, he didn't do this in English but rather in his native language. Unfortunately for him, we spoke this language and could understand everything. We left immediately as he kept cursing at us for no reason. As someone who lives in Berlin I think I know what is considered as good Kebab, or what is considered a Kebab in the first place. It seems like this restaurant is trying to reinvent Kebab and they are failing at it measurably. They add corn to the sandwich and they keep heating the sandwich until the tomato and the lettec is almost cooked. The sandwich was so tasteless that we thought we have corona. Lucky it turned out not to be the case because we had a desert at a different place afterwards and it tasted great. In summary never eat here unless you want to see how bad...

If you talk about value for money you are at the right spot! I was craving for a kebab pita and they serve one of the best in the island. Packed with fresh veggies in a nice pita accompanied by more fries than my stomach could fit.

Food is great, kebab pita with fries and a drink for only € 10,- and real nice people working there got me visiting this place several times during my visit in Puerto de la Cruz and you should definitely do so too!
