Anyone who has ever had real Mexican food in places like Mexico or California would be offended by someone calling this ' best ' or even ' best place I've ever eaten '. My wife and I, now living on the Island, have been on a hunt for some authentic Mexican food ever since we got here two years ago and for some reason, the Spanish people just can't get that one right. Not even close. It's like ordering Pizza in a Chinese restaurant. We had the tacos, veggie and chicken fajitas and the guacamole. All four dishes were missing a main feature: Taste. Very bland, the corn tacos tasted like limp, moist rags and the fajitas came in a bowl (not a sizzling platter), covered with a gooey mess of pizza grade mozzarella. This was also the first ' Mexican ' restaurant that didn't have beans and rice as a standard side. What ??? Food aside, the service was slow, even though there were 5 people including Grandma in the kitchen. And last but not least, no salsa !!! ??? (the onion, jalapeño, tomato medley). I'm guessing they pay for their reviews, because there is no chance in hell that Steward, Tila or Nicklas are serious - unless they have never been to a Mexican restaurant, or any restaurant, for that matter. I don't think it's very helpful when people post 5 star reviews just because they want to have a pleasant memory of their visit instead of simply being honest and providing some useful guidance for the next visitor looking for great good and great service. Don't waste your time. This...
Read moreWhat an amazing place to eat! We’ve been here two times during our stay in Puerto de la Cruz and both times were a delight.
We had the enchiladas Vallarta and Tapatía. Both were absolutely delicious, and the Vallarta had a nice spicy kick to it. Their guacamole is a must-try—so fresh and full of flavor!
The real highlight, though, was the dessert: pan de elote. It was so good that I’d seriously book a trip to Puerto de la Cruz just to have this heavenly dessert again.
The Mexican atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is super friendly, and the prices are great for the quality you get. If you’re in Puerto de la Cruz and craving Mexican food, this is the...
Read moreSaved this place for last and boy we didn't regret it. It was right next to our hotel. Amazing restaurant with very kind people and delicious food! My wife and I had the following: guacamole con nachos, 2x guacamole, shared the Perrona to which we added 2 more tortillas, 2 deserts (some traditional mexican tart made from corn and dulce de lecce which was delicious + a chocolate mouse), 2 beers and 1 0,5L margarita and we paid 63 Eur in total. We found the price very cheap especially since everything was finger licking good and the portion was more than enough for us. Highly recommend this place and for sure on our next visit yo Tenerife we will...
