Fabrica de pan y croissant — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

We were looking for a breakfast/brunch place in Puerto de la Cruz and weren't able to find anything promising on Google Maps, until we stumbled upon this place.

Our expectations were limited, since brunch doesn't seem to be a specialty of Canarian cuisine. However, what we got here surpassed any and all of our expectations and would've even been a spectacular find in cities like Paris, Berlin or New York, where brunch places are as frequent as fish in the sea. The bread was great (as a German, I'm picky with my bread and this was on point), the cold cuts were delicious, the cinnamon rolls were crispy yet moist and the dulce de leche as well as the chocolate-hazelnut cream (on the crêpe) were to die for. On top of that, the service was exceptional, extremely friendly and noticably committed to customer satisfaction.

To round it all off, the value for money was outstanding.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is lovely, good value for money and fantastic choices.. Avocado salmon and egg... Bacon and scrambled egg on toast.. Croissants... Yoghurt and oats, Whatever you're in the mood for they have it. The coffee is amazing, as is the orange juice!

The service is phenomenal, Oscar who served us did a fantastic job managing the restraunt floor, even with a full house. He was very friendly and attended to our every need. When we ordered in Spanish he was patient with us (we are trying to learn the language) and even helped us with our pronunciation. Overall we had a fantastic experience here both times when we came for breakfast and would recommend it to everyone, even for just a coffee. The atmosphere here is lovely. Best service in Tenerife.. Where shall I start? I have been here in Puerto for nearly a month and I had breakfast at this amazing place so many times! Food is the best, the quality is fantastic and everything is homemade and fresh! They make the best brunch and croissants and cakes are absolutely brilliant. They also have a small bakery where you can buy bread, cakes and croissants and I always go there because the quality is fantastic. The girls work so hard and they’re really passionate about the work and they’re so lovely. The prices are so cheap and I can’t believe it especially coming from London and for having such amazing quality of food. Next week we’re leaving Tenerife and I wish I could bring this place with me, I’m going to miss it so...
