Restaurante Casa Pablo — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

Had the seafood paella for two and was promised the best paella on the island. Very underwhelming, the sangria was bland and tasted mostly of apple juice, the red wine was poor with a overly acidic taste. The paella looked loverly, a little smaller tham we had experienced on other islands, unfortunately the dish was undercooked with hard (not al-denta) rice with several of the mussels and clams not open (these should not be served). There was not provisions provided to clean your fingers after dispelling the prawns so a little messy by the end. The staff were friendly and full of promise of the best food on the island but this failed to be delivered and rhe experience was similar to a secondhand car sales man who's was only interested in taking your money, which was a same as we were looking forward to a traditional...

We, I and my husband had most wonderful, cuisine meals made by Chef Antonio himself. We were totally imaged the courmet meals what we wanted were prepared daily from really fresh fish and seafood bought from local fisheries. On this 3 week holiday trip we just wanted to enjoy different type of fish and seafood meals which we can not get at home in Canada. We never went any other restaurant, because at Casa Pablo you can eat any kind of meals you prefer. The service was 10+ done by Francisco. He always made sure, that anything we wanted, was available for us. He always made us special Barraquito ( Zaperoco ) after dinner and fabulous ice cream dessert was done. You never will be disapointed at Casa Pablo meals and service and prices are very reasonable....

First visit and not overly impressed. The guy that took the order looked like he really did not want to be there. The server was very pleasant and friendly though. We ordered spaghetti bolagnesa which was cold so we had to send it back for them to warm up. The chicken was fine although the mushroom sauce arrived when I was half way through my meal. The chips were fab, definitely homemade. A particular wine that we like was listed on their menu but they didn't have it. The recommended alternative was good though.
